Grandpa,

It is with mixed feelings that I write this tribute. On one hand, I wish I could speak to you one more time. No matter what, there was a joy and love in your voice whenever you spoke with me, always accompanied by a warm smile. But, on the other hand, I know that you are in a better and well-prepared place.

I will miss you, and I love you.

TRIBUTE TO MY BELOVED FATHER

"Dad, you were more than just a parent to me. You were my guiding light, my mentor, and my best friend. Your unwavering support, unconditional love, and generous spirit inspired me to be the person I am today.

Your strength, resilience, and determination taught me to face life's challenges head-on. Your kindness, empathy, and compassion showed me the importance of treating others with love and respect.

I'll always cherish the memories we made together, from the laughter we shared to the quiet moments when it was just us. Your legacy lives on in my heart, and I'll continue to make you proud.

Rest in peace, Dad. I love you more than words can express.

Your departure was a great void/vacuum that cannot be filled by anyone, even in the Family.

Having you as a Father was the BEST thing that had ever happened to me in life, the bond of same birth-mark we both shared together has confirmed it.

The love, patience, tolerance and perseverance you possess is immeasurable.

Bringing both immediate and extended family members close to you in unity, irrespective of their status, had been your watchword in which no one can match up with!

Your memory we'll cherish and hold tight.
A shining Star,
on a darkest night.

I will Keep up the promises I made for you, never to disappoint you even after your transition.

Dad, In the next World to come, if I have the opportunity, I will pick you over and over again as my Father.

Continue to Rest In Perfect Peace my confidant, mentor, and Dear Father, ibami.

Iba mi o, Daddy mi, Iba oma!

I was confident I would meet you on my return. Alas! the One who loves most calls you home. Thank you for your love, care and all you did for us.
Growing up, you would carry me on your shoulder (akaka), you would told us night stories. You would hold my hand and touch each of my fingers starting with the thumb, saying "iyi ti iba e o, iyi ti iye o, iyi t'egban e o, iyi t'aburo e o, okan yo bo yi, ku we ba ti to ugboro omi Oluso, wa mu somi mo konokono, kelekele ee and I would laugh"
You made sure we followed in your footsteps in being members of the choir. I am grateful for the beautiful and loving moments shared with you.

Good night to a considerate and compassionate Father.

After a lengthy discussion with you about a month before your demise I saw in you a mind that was rested in God. You told me that you knew that God would do that which was the best for you. Little did I know that that best you expected from God was just around the corner. Like daylight I remembered your counsel when I and your daughter were to be married: "ema se ju agbara yin lo, sise ku siwaju," meaning, "don't do things beyond your power, there's still a lot of things to do in future." With this you let go several things that was required of us to do.

Your regular phone calls that starts with "ana mi, omo mi, se alafiya lewa" will be sorely missed.

Good night Daddy.

My Daddy, Chief Eledibo, a man of integrity. I loved you dearly, but God loved you even more and called you home.

I remember my secondary school days when I lived with you. You were a kind-hearted man, always full of smiles, love, and warmth. You cherished your family deeply.

With you, there was no favoritism—everyone ate the same food, received the same love, and was treated equally. You built a home where unity and kindness thrived, touching so many lives along the way.

We will never forget your legacy.

We love you, but God loves you more.

May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Amen.

Brother Dele , as I fondly called you, the moments we shared together will never be forgotten. You were a loving, caring, and compassionate brother, always looking out for your family.

Thank you for the beautiful life you lived and for the unwavering support you gave to your family. Your memory will forever remain in our hearts.

Tribute To My Hero:

23rd of October, 2024, a day I will always remember in sadness. Daddy, your departure can never be overemphasized. I cannot imagine you left us at the crucial period when every member of the family were hoping to see you get back on your feet.

I have gone down memory lane and I am proud that I was given the opportunity to call you my father, my mentor. you never take 'No' for an answer. A man of great discipline!

There are so many memories to speak about, that need more than a book to write in. I am writing this tribute with grief and heavy heart, but, I got comfort each day with thoughts of the life you have lived. A life worthy of emulation. You were very rear among your equals. Your love, wisdom, courage and optimism over family issues and the community at large, can never be quickly forgotten. What a Solomon of our time!

Love you Dad!. May you continue to rest in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ until till we meet again.

I never thought I will write this tribute for you this early. I am still in rude shock as it got down on me while writing this tribute that my beloved brother is truly gone.

Despite your illness, I never thought of death but prayed for your quick recovery but in the end God called you home to rest in His Arms. It pains me so much that you did not enjoy the Chieftancy you laboured for, HIGH CHIEF OLUSO OF EKUSI IN OWO KINGDOM. Crowned and blessed by HIS Imperial Majesty, Alayeluwa, Oba Dr. Barrister Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye 111, the Olowo of Owo kingdom and the Paramount ruler of Owo Land.

You worked so hard to make life easy for your household, the peace you instilled in the family, the love and sacrifice you made for your children and the entire family, the hard work you put in daily to impact on the lives around you, the heart of giving especially through service and extra mile you went to ensure everything was always in order.

You stood firmly with me during my school days, during my election campaigned to Ondo State House of Assembly in 2007, during my Ero festival in year 2011 and till you answered the call of the Lord that you should come back home on 23rd of October, 2024.

Also I will not forget your lovely advices, prayers and kindness. My brother the vacuum you left behind will be difficult to fill. We love you but God loves you more, rest in the bosom of the Lord till the resurrection day when we meet to part no more. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

The memory we shared together cannot be forgotten so soon, being a lovely, caring and accommodating Father who had sacrificed a lot for his family.

I remembered how you personally taught me how to read and write.

To my Uncle, Chief Eledibo Ola, what a good memory you have left us. I always remember any time I call you on phone, your first word is My Pastor, how are you? You are humble enough to call me your Pastor despite the age gap. I recall again when I was coming to Owo for a conference (Open crusade). The moment I informed you about my intentions, you were quick to respond by supporting me in distributing the leaflets for the conference and you also went about announcing the meeting to everyone in Ekusi, Ondo State and all around. Thank you for supporting the work of the Lord – God has granted you a crown of righteousness (2 Timothy 4:8) and the children you left behind will reap of the good seed you have sown in proclaiming the good news of Christ. We will miss you greatly.

How do I recount how much you are missed, Cousin Dele, no brother Dele? I remember the days and years you mentored me as your little brother. When I came to Owo for high school, you always guided me as I visited during the week and on weekends. Did I mention how you elegantly dressed for Sunday services and took me along? On some weekends, even though I don’t like the outdoors, he would take me to the farm on his motorcycle early in the morning and make me sit and watch while he did the farming. I remember he would take me along while visiting friends in the evening. Even after completing high school and moving back to Lagos, I remember one of my return home visits when I came up with a stereo cabinet idea made with an iron. He built it. Instead of welding, it was joined together with screws for easy transportation and reassembly in Lagos. I learned hard work habits by seeing him go to the farm around 5 in the morning, return around 9, and then get ready to go to his shop (business).
Brother Dele, you will be forever missed. Continue to rest in peace.
