Obituary
Gordon L. Bradshaw
August 15, 1945 – December 7, 2025
Gordon L. Bradshaw was born on August 15, 1945, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Karl and Mae Bradshaw. He grew up in Duckwater, Nevada, on the family ranch, where he spent his childhood wrangling wild horses, raising cattle, and growing hay alongside his two brothers and two sisters: Barry, Bradley, Anita, and Marcia.
After graduating high school in 1963, Gordon enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as a helicopter mechanic. Upon returning to Duckwater, he helped on the family ranch and soon earned his pilot's license, enjoying flying small planes with his brother-in-law, Richard Forman.
In 1971, Gordon married Ann Wilma Cornelius, and they moved to Alaska, where they purchased a homestead to raise cattle and grow hay. They had two children, Mitchell and MoAnna. While managing the homestead, Gordon worked part-time as a crane operator for the International Union of Operating Engineers to support his growing family. In his free time, Gordon enjoyed gold mining, hunting, and fishing.
In 1997, Gordon was diagnosed with lupus, an autoimmune disease that made it difficult for him to endure the extreme weather conditions of interior Alaska. As ranching became increasingly challenging, Gordon relocated to Arizona to be closer to medical care. This move led to his separation from his wife, Ann, who remained in Alaska.
While seeking medical treatment in Arizona, Gordon met Judy Edes, a retired Army nurse, whom he came to believe was his soulmate. Together, they built a small home on a couple of acres, bought a couple of horses, and joined a cutting horse club. They lived an adventurous life, exploring Arizona on horseback and fishing in the state's lakes. Sadly, Judy passed away in 2022 due to complications from COVID-19, causing immense heartache for Gordon and a noticeable decline in his health.
After losing Judy, Gordon's daughter, MoAnna, became his primary caregiver, providing him with love and support in his final days, guided by the wisdom he had instilled in her over the years.
Gordon passed away on December 7, 2025, at Abrazo West Campus Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona, after a long battle with lupus.
He was preceded in death by his partner, Judy Edes; his wife, Ann Bradshaw; his parents, Karl and Mae Bradshaw; his sisters, Anita Bradshaw and Marcia Forman; his brothers, Barry and Bradley Bradshaw; his sister-in-law, Norma Bradshaw; his brother-in-law, Richard Forman; his niece, Rebekah Bradshaw and nephew Glenn Bradshaw, a full term birth.
He is survived by his son, Mitchell Bradshaw; his daughter, MoAnna Bradshaw; his nieces, Selena Forman and Jody Korell; and his nephews, Todd Bradshaw, and Jim Bradshaw.
Private family services will be held on Saturday April 25 at Bradshaw Family Cemetery with celebration of life to be held at Current creek community center near the junction 379 and highway 6 at 2.00.
