Giovanni “John” Oliverio
August 28, 1938 – August 12, 2026
Giovanni “John” Oliverio, of Macomb, Michigan, passed away on August 12, 2026, at the age of 87. He was born on August 28, 1938, in Brooklyn, New York.

John proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honored to be a Veteran.

On September 3, 1960, John married the love of his life, Barbara. Together, they shared 66 years of marriage, building a family and a lifetime of memories. Barbara was his beloved wife and lifelong partner, and their years together were a testament to the love and commitment they shared.

John was a loving father to his son, Scott, and daughter-in-law, Karen, and his daughter, Stacy, and son-in-law, Don. He took great pride in his grandchildren: Jordan, Kelsey, and Paige Oliverio; Samantha Greene and her husband, Paul; Zachary Zeis and his wife, Kassidy; and Jaxson Zeis and his fiancé, Lauren.

His joy continued with two great-grandchildren, Nellie Greene and Elliott Zeis.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Catherine (Bilotti) Oliverio, and his brother, Frank Oliverio.

He leaves behind a family who will miss him dearly and carry his memory with them. Though he is no longer with us, the love he gave, the family he created, and the memories he left behind will continue to live on for generations to come.

John’s funeral and memorial services will be private with immediate family. He will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan.
