Obituary

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Fred, who was born on December 7th, 1947 and passed away on August 4th, 2026 in Sandy Hook, Clinton.

Fred will be remembered for kindness, generosity, and the quiet ability to bring people together. Family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues all experienced the warmth and sincerity that made time spent with Fred meaningful.
Throughout life, Fred built lasting connections and touched many lives through simple acts of care, encouragement, and friendship. Conversations, shared moments, and everyday gestures created memories that will remain with those who had the privilege of knowing Fred.
Family meant a great deal to Fred, and relationships were always nurtured with patience and devotion. Friends valued loyalty and sincerity, while colleagues appreciated dedication and a thoughtful approach to work and collaboration.

The passing of Fred leaves a space that cannot be filled. Yet the memories, lessons, and moments shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know Fred.
Fred will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Please join us to celebrate Fred's life on Whidbey Island surrounded by the view and people that he loved and love him.

We'd love for you to wear a shirt that makes you think of Fred in honor of him. EX: Shirts with funny sayings, Dad shirts, Cougar WSU gear, sailor hats, etc.

We are planning to have grilled items (hamburgers and hotdogs) as well as some side dishes and drinks (likely beer + non alcoholic beverages). We would love to also have a potluck style celebration, if you are able to bring a dish to share it is encouraged and appreciated!
