Not only was Fred a great supervisor, but he was also a wonderful person who I am thankful for everything. He has motivated me to work for the position I now have at Daikin, because when it seemed so difficult to pass the classes required for said position due to my main language being Spanish, I would tell Fred “No sir, I don’t think this is for me. I love my current job and what I do, but to go to these classes I don’t think I’ll be able to pass them.” He would always give me words of encouragement and heavily pushed for me to go above and beyond, saying “yes, yes you can do it, it’s like eating an elephant!” I said “what do you mean? An elephant is way too big!” To which Fred replied “yes ma’am I know, but how do you eat an elephant?” And suddenly it made sense to me. I replied “well, you start by eating a little piece today, and another piece tomorrow.” Fred said “you got it!” I will always remember Fred for getting along with all of us equally, and always having a big smile on his face no matter what.

Fred was my brother's best friend since we were in middle school. He has always been like a second brother to me. If I needed something - he was there to help. Fred's family lived in the same neighborhood, so he was close. I remember this one time when I was in high school, and I was home alone and I kept hearing noises. It was very late between 11 and 12 pm. I was so scared. I called Fred. He came over and checked out the house and the barn, assured me there was no one there and then he slept on the floor so I would feel safe until someone else got home. He was so kind and such a blessing to anyone who knew him. My heart breaks for all who knew and loved him. This world is a better place because he was in it. Big ugs to Mary Beth and his girls. Follow in his footsteps to always be kind and love big!

Fred! A big guy with an even bigger personality. Through high school, college, having babies, dealing with teenagers and beyond, He was always there for me. He was my best friends husband, a good one, and a great dad to his girls! He was one of the good ones! I’m sure there are so many pictures of us together somewhere, before phone cameras were a thing. The last picture I have is from NYE 2021 even though we were at a “kiss” concert since then. I guess we were always having so much fun and living in the moment, we didn’t take pictures? There is a saying : people will forget what you’ve said and forget what you’ve done, but they will never forget how you made them feel. Fred always made me feel special and worthy. He was a kind, gentle, loving soul and I will miss him dearly!

Hi, my name is Teresa Hoffart, and I am fundraising for the family of Fred Irvin, upon his passing. Over the past few months, Fred was in and out of the hospital with health issues, and he missed quite a bit of work. They had health insurance, but with so many medications, hospital visits, etc., there are still many out of pocket expenses that were incurred. Fred passed away February 27, 2024, leaving behind his beloved wife, Mary Beth and three daughters, Kayla, Marissa, and Casey. Please consider making a donation to help the family with the medical and funeral expenses.
