Dra. Chin, your memories will always be blessings. I am so grateful to have had the chance to get to know you and what a strong, graceful, gentle person you are.

I remember Chin when, after having recovered from her brain surgery, she came to me and expressed her sincere desire to serve the poor at the Quirino Memorial Medical Center-Dermatology. I saw in her gentleness and kindness in both speech and action.
I admire the way she perceived the practice of Medicine more of a vocation than a profession.
After all the trouble of cancer in life, she remained steadfast to serve in the vineyard of the Lord through QMMC.
I will remember Chin as a woman of gentleness, joy, faith and love. ❤️
May the Lord grant you eternal rest. Amen.

Although I have only personally met Dra Chin a few times, she has always been very nice and friendly to me. She is approachable and has a very warm aura. When I was a pre resident at SCF and would attend the dermpath online lectures of hers, she would always teach well and would not make you feel intimidated to ask questions. I wish I could have had more memories with Dra. She will be missed by many.

Your sunny disposition will be missed, Doc Chin! I am truly grateful for your help when I was applying for the dermpath fellowship in Taipei. I had no idea you were going through it again. Despite everything, you still took time and enthusiastically helped me with my application. The news today is deeply heartbreaking. You will forever be in my heart.
Love,

Dr. Chin was my direct senior during residency training, and I deeply admired her for being smart, humble, cool-tempered, modest, and, most of all, very generous. I witnessed how her illness unfolded. I was scared for her, but she continued to carry on as if nothing had changed. When she returned to her duties, her resilience, and unwavering positivity inspired me as both a person and a trainee. She taught me the value of discipline, kindness, and cherishing life’s small moments. Dr. Chin, I will miss you dearly. Thank you for the kindness you have shown. I am relieved that you are no longer in pain.

I met Doc Chin back when I was a pre-resident at SCFI. Despite the many things I’m sure she had to do and the numerous responsibilities she carried, she never let any of it faze her. She approached everything with diligence, patience, kindness, and sincerity. I count myself very lucky to call Doc Chin my senior. I will forever be grateful for her guidance and always remember her kind aura. My thoughts and prayers are with her and her family. Sending my love and gratitude to you, Doc Chin.

My first impression of Chin was that she was a quiet unassuming shy girl in a sea of very rambunctious loud opinionated co-residents (She and Kath Senares were quiet …). As her residency continued, she showed how utterly kind and good-natured she was. She never had anything bad to say about anyone. She was bright and eager to please. When she was diagnosed in second year residency, she then showed her strength and courage. She didn’t let her illness define her and she pushed through. She was supposed to be the chief resident but of course we had to ask her if she will be alright to take on the responsibility. She actually cried like she was embarrassed that she had to say no and she would have to pass on the responsibility to someone else. She didn’t want to disappoint us and her batchmates. After her surgery, she still attended her batchmate Corrine’s wedding all the way in Tagaytay. We saw her walk with a cane towards us, still a little weak but so determined to be there for her friend. After, we saw her also walk down the aisle to marry her soul mate King, graduate from residency, take the board exam and fellowship, practice dermatology and have 2 kids. It has been a life marked with burden, challenges and pain but at the same time filled with joy, happiness, love and success. Chin persevered. It may be a life cut short so prematurely but it is a life well lived. I’m so glad I’ve met you in this lifetime. You are one of the bravest person I have the pleasure of knowing. I hope one day to drink your favorite milk tea up there in heaven where I hope there will be no more lactose intolerance for me. Cheers to you Chin.

Doc Chin was a 4th year Dermatology resident when I was a preresident. She is someone I will always look up to because despite the challenges she faced with her health, you would never see her angry or in a bad mood. She would always greet us with a smile embodying so much strength and grace. Thank you Doc Chin for the things you taught us in clinic but most importantly for being an example to all of us of what it means to persevere and to have joy in all circumstances. You will never be forgotten!

Doc chin was my senior when we were residents in SCFI. She was smart, pleasant and nice to everyone, and hardworking even after her brain surgery. While recuperating, she still went to clinic with a smile- not showing any signs of weakness. I will forever be grateful for her guidance when we were residents. Thank you doc chin for the memories! Will never forget our Aad memories in Washington 💓 prayers to doc chin and her family 🙏

Francine was a reserved and sweet girl, always smiling and ready to help. She has been part of the guest faculty for the YL7 dermatology module at ASMPH. One of our first few ASMPH graduates who chose to be a dermatologist.
You will be missed Francine.
We lost a dear colleague to soon. Thank you for your kindnesss and support.
May you have eternal rest and peace. No more suffering. We now have an angel friend in heaven.
Will remember you in my prayers. Please pray for us too. Thank you very much💕

Chin was my classmate in medical school. She’s always been kind, positive, helpful and generous. I always see her with a smile. During the pandemic, a family member also consulted her and she was very helpful! We appreciated that so much. Thank you Chin, for sharing your life to us! Thank you for all the memories with you!

The amazing thing about our Chin: after she was diagnosed with brain cancer, she completed residency, passed the PDS board exam, got married and had a daughter , did 6 months dermpath fellowship in Taiwan, had another baby and had recently opened her private clinic in MCU. she helped SCF in any way she could, teaching the residents with a buzz cut coz she was recovering from chemo. She lived more than lifetime and lived life fully joyfully and with victory, facing each day as a gift from the Lord. She was always kind, loving and generous to me and I loved her dearly. I had the privilege to be her ninang too, and i am proud to call her my friend and lifelong inspiration. Chin I will miss you but I know you are in the arms of our loving Lord and Savior Jesus!

your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”
