From SUNDAY OKOMODA
We know you are in a better place resting in the bosom of your Maker.
Enjoy the sweet rest that your blessed soul deserves
Losing a true mother is difficult to bear.
Like Mummy would say to me on phone while I was still in university 2006,
Hello Kemi Omo mi, bawo ni ( that is Hello Kemi, my daughter how are you?
if you need anything let me know.
Before hanging down the call, I would received credit alert from my UBA account. She was a mother to all around her.
My Mummy as I fondly say "I always admired your mother's caring and selfless nature. She was a pleasure to be around anytime anyway , and I will miss her terribly. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers."
"I will always remember the special times I spent with you Mom. Rest on the Lord's blossom.
From Mrs Kemi O.N
Yours always,
Benjamin O.
Mama, your life has been a shining testament to God's love and grace. Your unwavering devotion to Him has inspired countless hearts. Your selfless service to the church, diligently cleaning and preparing the sanctuary for worship, has been a labor of love.
Your wisdom and guidance have been a treasure to our family. Your counsel has been a beacon of hope, directing us through life's challenges. Your love for your children, grandchildren, and daughter-in-law has been unconditional and unwavering.
Your generosity has been evident in your thoughtful gestures, like creating offering envelopes for our church. Your legacy extends far beyond material possessions; it's a heritage of faith, love, and kindness.
We celebrate your life, Mama, and honor your memory. Your impact on our lives will continue to inspire and motivate us to follow in your footsteps.
Thank you for being a remarkable example of a God-fearing woman. Your love, wisdom, and selflessness will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, dear Mama. Your legacy lives on in our hearts.
I could go on and on to let the world know how lucky I am to have had the best mother in-law, how you take care of me during childbirth to the extent people around think you're my biological mother, how you extend the love you have for we your children to those around us, your selfless sacrifices can not be underestimated, your prayer lifestyle was worth emulating because you were a prayer warrior to the core, but time will fail me to keep mentioning one after the other your virtuous character.
It's sad to know that I will no longer hear that name 'daughter mi' anymore, hmmn... But my consolation is in the fact that you're resting in the Lord.
Mummy your memories and legacy lives on...
You will be greatly missed my mother.
Till we meet at the feet of our Maker, rest on ma
It is with a heart full of sorrow and deep reflection that I write this tribute to a remarkable woman, Deaconess Felicia Ibukun Okomoda, the Managing Director of Felicity Foods & Beverages, Lokoja.
I first met Mummy Felicity during my National Diploma program at Kogi State Polytechnic, and from the moment she knew me, she welcomed me with open arms and a motherly heart. She adopted me as her son, and every weekend became an opportunity to spend time with her loving family.
Mummy Felicity was more than a caregiver; she was a mentor, a prayer warrior, and a beacon of faith. Through her ministration and encouragement, I gave my life to Christ, and she introduced me to the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, where my spiritual journey blossomed. Her devotion to God and her unwavering faith were an inspiration to everyone who knew her. She taught me what it means to walk with God, not just in words but in actions.
Her sudden death on October 15, 2024, came as a profound shock to me. I had no prior knowledge of her illness, and the news struck me like a thunderbolt. Even now, it feels surreal to accept that she is no longer with us. But as the Word of God assures us in Philippians 1:21, "For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
Mummy Felicity, your life was a testimony of love, care, and service to God and humanity. Your death is a painful reminder of life’s vanity, but our comfort lies in knowing that you are resting in the bosom of the Lord.
We shall meet again on the resurrection morning, where there will be no more tears, no more pain, and no more goodbyes. Rest well, Mummy Felicity, till we meet again.
