Emilly weee as we usually call ourselves when she was alive.
She came, fought and conquered. Our old Soldier Mother, very energetic, lovely and fun to be with.
The last time she came to Lagos, in her Son’s house, while I was there, she said “Emilly weee I am still expecting my Soldier Uniform, when are you giving it to me?” We laughed over it, because she remembered I promised her one.
Today, Imeh has joined the Soldiers in heaven.
Sleep well and Rest In Peace.

Death is an inevitable junction for every living soul but I never expected it for Imeh at this time.
It happened at a time I am unable to turn up to celebrate her life and her legacies which has greatly contributed to who I am today. She is spiritually strong, bold, and a disciplinarian with a loving heart. Imeh took me as her son from day one till her last day and will pray for me at every opportunity on the phone, this makes me believe we are fulfilling her desire to live and care for each other. Imeh 'garri' is medicinal and very special. Imeh departure will be greatly missed by me and only God can fill the vacuum. Rest on Imeh vbi Lampese.

Imeh, words cannot fully capture the depth of my sorrow at your passing. Your sudden departure to be with the Lord took me by surprise, especially since you remained so vibrant and full of life even on your sickbed. Every morning, your phone call would wake us, and your prayers would uplift us. At the police officer’s quarters in Ikeja, fondly known as "small Nigeria," many mistook you for my mother because of the extraordinary care you gave to the children, including me.

Your love and compassion knew no bounds when it came to your children and grandchildren. You taught me so much, especially about managing a home. I confided in you more than in my own mother; in you, I found a true mother. You knew my highs and lows, and no matter how hard I tried to hide my troubles, you always sensed when something was wrong. Your prayers and fasting for your son's safety as he traveled across Nigeria for his police duties were a testament to your unwavering faith and love.

You were my prayer partner, my confidante, and my support. Friends often remarked on our closeness, saying it was unusual for a daughter-in-law to be so close to her mother-in-law. They envied our relationship, often comparing it to their own. You prayed that my daughter-in-law would one day appreciate me as I did you.

During my childbearing years, you were my rock. You took care of me and my babies, washing clothes, feeding the children, and letting me rest while you carried them on your back. If all mothers-in-law were like you, no woman would hesitate to marry a man with a mother. You were a role model, teaching me how to be a good mother-in-law myself.

My husband never knew the depth of our conversations. He often cautioned me not to tell you everything, but our bond was beyond his understanding. You were the children’s destiny helper and a constant source of encouragement for me. You always prayed for us, calling my daughter Naomi your mother and referring to Edwin as her father. You would remind us to stay away from bad friends, always looking out for our well-being.

Imeh, your legacy of love, prayer, and compassion will forever be cherished. I will miss you deeply, but I find comfort in the beautiful memories we shared and the lessons you taught me. Your spirit lives on in our hearts.

Millicent Ed-Ajogun,
Your daughter-in-law

A precious jewel that cannot be replaced. A true representative of Proverbs 31... Grandma, I will forever miss you. A gift to us from God. I thank God for letting us cross path in this life. Couldn't have asked God for a different Grandma.

Although, it's being long we saw face to face, you never stopped checking on me, my husband, and your great-grand- children. We will miss your singing and prayers.

You cared for us in a way that words cannot explain. Your legacy will forever live on. Though you are gone, I will continue to remember all the fun time we had and strive to be that child you always wanted me to be in life. Thank you for all the care and love. You never held back your love and care. You were relentless in caring and loving us despite all odds. Rest in peace Grandma. I will forever hold on to the fun memories I have of you till meet again.

“Imhe”as she’s foundling called by the younger generation. She was a mother to all, no segregation or biased mind when handling issue. Through her I saw a man in a woman. You came you saw and you conquered. She was a loving, caring and kind hearted mother to all. May your soul continue to rest in the blossom of our Lord, RIP.

A glamorous gem left the world with heart touching memories.

An unforgettable prayer warrior passed on within a twinkling of an eye.

' *Abiyamo tooto"* who never forgot to perform her duties and responsibilities to her children every morning even at old age.

Her words of encouragement and advice could not be overemphasised.

Ever vibrant and articulate woman of virtue who suffered undesirable hardship for the survival of her children.

You are such a strong willed and confident mama who believed in herself, withstood all the difficulties as a princess to cater for the family.

Your sense of hospitality and kindness made people feel at home.

What of her sense of beauty and neatness through which her son was directed to a perfect match.

A lots of special virtues have been heard about you, longing to see my boss's mother until l received a rude shocking news of your departure.

I do not know how to come to terms with reality of your demise as l still found your soothing voice in my mind.

Surely, your legacy speaks forever and you will be greatly missed

“She came, she saw, she conquered”

Those were the words I said a few minutes after recovering from the shock of the news of her passing. Sad as I was, I understood that despite the pain of her passing, hers was the life we pray for when we ask God to give us long life and prosperity.

Imeh character was always larger than life. The stories I heard of her growing up were those of a woman who refused to give up in the face of incredible hardships. A woman who was as strong as she was kind and as fierce as she was nurturing. She was firm and yet always willing to pray for you or offer advice.

The original OG. Imeh lived life on her own terms and no one else. She did what she wanted and lived how she liked, death be damned.

I am so glad my children got to interact with their great grandma and I will never forget how happy my daughter always was to speak to her.

Her death has touched me but when i reflect on her life, it is impossible to feel anything but pride.

Rest on, Imeh. You came, you saw, you conquered.

I still find it hard to get over the shock of the passage unto glory of a rare gem in the history of motherhood, Imeh.
Imeh, as we fondly called her was a special gift to humanity. I am privileged to know Imeh through my childhood friendship with Omis over forty years ago. And Imeh was our Imeh (mother). She was loving, accommodating. She showed no distinction or boundaries between us. Mama was a wonderful workaholic as well as a disciplinarian.
She sacrificed her time and energy to recreate a new life, and an enviable world of glory for the children. Imeh was an epitome of all the virtues of motherhood; charity, fortitude, patient,, uprightness piety, and more. Her uncommon sense of humor, most often laced with wisdom are part of her personality that we will miss. We thank God for giving us this privilege to have you as our special mother.
You have fought the good fight and, you have now gone to receive your crown of victory. May the good Lord who has called you to come over and rest in His bossom, grant your gentle soul a peaceful repose..
Imeh, Maa ku se . Aa dufuo.

A tribute to our treasured Grandmother: you will always be loved. We find it difficult to believe that you have been called by your Creator. Our grandmother was a special gift from God, your death is felt deeply by us even though you lived a full life. Your love is unique and you were so sweet. God gave you to us as our grandmother to liven up our lives, to make our lives more complete and make us better grandchildren. you tought us about love and meaning of family. We can't still believe that our lovely grandmother was taken from us.we will miss you Imeh. Thank you for your sacrifices, your care and prayers, you were a great disciplinarian, you thought us so many things that has really helped us today. We will have so many loving memories of you throughout our live. You may have passed on, but your memories would always live on with us. It is with a heavy heart that I write this tribute. I did not met you in person but the day I heard your voice over the telephone, I could tell how humble, kind, deep in fear of God and selfless you were. Your sense of humor was beautiful . You softly admonishment us about how to navigate life in hard times. Your love for humanity was amazing. You asked after my family repeatedly as though you knew us for years. You prayed for us and added that we should not miss going to church. You are indeed a rare breed. I have no doubt, you are in a better place with the Lord. We will really miss you. Rest in peace, mama.

Meeting Imeh was a very wonderful day for me. I have always spoken to her on the phone and I looked forward to meeting her in person. And she was just as wonderful as I thought she would be.
Very warm and kind. I always said I have taken her as my own grandmother, not grandmother-in-law.
Imeh always said, 'no quarrel o' and I know if we could speak one more time, she will say the same thing still.
I am very glad my kids got to meet their great grandmother.

Sleep well Imeh,
Ije Oma!
