Emmanuel Akintunde Akinsola, born on March 11, 1944, in the vibrant city of Ibadan, Nigeria, left this world peacefully on February 16, 2025, at the age of 80. Emmanuel was a beacon of love and strength to his family, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose wisdom and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
Throughout his life, Emmanuel exemplified the qualities of integrity, compassion, and resilience. He was a firm believer in hard work as the foundation of success and instilled this principle in his children and those around him. He valued education deeply and encouraged all his children and others to pursue learning as a means to achieve their dreams.
Emmanuel was a diligent and hardworking man who built a successful career through dedication and perseverance. He began his professional journey as a storekeeper at CMS Bookshop, Ibadan, and later moved to the University of Ife. He then worked at Cocoa Research before returning to the Central Stores at the University of Ife. His unwavering commitment to excellence led him to transition into the Accounting Department, where he became a chartered accountant. Through years of dedication and service, he rose to the esteemed position of Chief Accountant at the university, a testament to his exceptional work ethic and determination.
Emmanuel was also a committed Christian who dedicated his life to serving God. He began as a Sunday Bible school teacher and rose to become a minister of God. His commitment, dedication, and love for God were deeply ingrained in his family, with one of his children now serving as an Apostle, another as a Pastor, and others actively involved in ministries. His faith was a guiding force in his life, and he inspired many through his devotion and spiritual leadership.
He was married to his beloved wife, Mrs. Eunice Bosede Akinsola, with whom he shared a beautiful journey of over five decades. Together, they built a family grounded in love and mutual respect, raising their five children, Late Ayoola Babajide, Akinwole Akinsola, Ayodeji Akinsola, Olusegun Akinsola, and Oluwaseun Akinsola, who were the pride and joy of Emmanuel’s life. He was not only a cherished father but also a mentor and friend, always ready with words of encouragement and guidance. His legacy continues through his children and his 12 grandchildren, each of whom carries forward his values and sense of purpose.
Emmanuel had a profound impact on his community, offering wisdom and support. He was known for his great patience and an unwavering dedication to the welfare of others, often going out of his way to help those in need. Emmanuel's presence was a steady light, providing comfort and hope, and his absence is deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

His outstanding attributes soon catapulted him to congregational recognition and as his call became clearer to the Founder and Minister-in-Charge, he recommended him for Pastoral ordination.
I also shared some good moments with him on the ministerial team (both of us having been ordained as Pastor on same day; though he served as trainee-Pastor before me), and found his deep philosophical counsel of immense benefits. Continue to rest in peace at the bossom of Our Lord Baba.

exemplary, he was a devoted lover of God who was always ready to share God's love with others. His reward is sure. May God continue to preserve all that Pa Akinsola left behind. Thanking God for his fulfilled life, well spent.

I met Baba around 1997 in London and he later introduced me to mummy and they both took me under their wings. Baba was very hard working, very dedicated to his beliefs, he will always encourage me to find a church to attend , he was always singing his Christian songs . He told me all about his children even before I met them, he was so proud of them . Baba loved mummy fiercely and passionately and whenever I am with them , one could see the love that radiates between them. We love him but God loves him more. May Baba gentle soul rest in peace , may God grant him eternal rest, may God keep, comfort , console and protect mummy and the family amen 🙏🏽. Iwa ju ti won do ju ko , ko ni ba won le ru, ehyin ti won fi sile , ko ni daru lagbara Jesu Kristi amin .

Although we never met while you were alive, but I can testify of the greatness you poured into the life of Apostle Akinwole Akinsola - a great man of God. Who serves God and His people diligently. A hardworking, reliable and honest man. "Abiyamo" per excellence, all to God's glory.
So I'll say "Pa Emmanuel Akintunde Akinsola is still living."
Rest well Papa
I had the privilege of meeting Mr. E. A. Akinsola in the 80s at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, where he was a Senior Officer in the Bursary Department Central Store Division.Baba, as I fondly called him, left an indelible mark on my life with his exceptional character.
One of Baba's remarkable qualities was his kindness and approachability. His office door was always open, welcoming staff members to enter and seek his guidance. I recall a particular instance where he visited our office at the Data Control Unit to inquire about the In-Service Training program. He encouraged my immediate boss, Mr. F. A. Adeniyi, to recommend me for the training, demonstrating his genuine interest in the growth and development of his colleagues.
Baba was a true leader, not just a boss. He would often leave his office to address situations personally, such as when there were long queues at the Central Store. His humility and willingness to serve inspired us all.
Years later, I had the opportunity to meet one of Baba's son, Pastor Deji, in the UK. As soon as I discovered our connection, I began attending his church. I was even fortunate enough to speak with Baba through Pastor Deji when Baba was in London.
Baba, your legacy lives on in our hearts. We will miss you, but we take comfort in knowing that you are now at peace with Jesus, who loves you even more than we do. Rest in perfect peace, dear Baba. Adieu.

The memories he shared with me revealed he was a loving and kind philanthropist. Although strong willed (smile). I can't but wish him an Eternal rest as I pray that the family members find solace in the cherished memories he held and the legacy of love that he left behind.

Adieu Emmanuel Akintunde Akinsola we shall meet to part no more at the blossom of our Lord Jesus Christ Amen
I first met Papa in the mid-90s. He became a tremendous blessing to many Christians through his remarkable gift of Bible teaching. He took his faith very seriously and lived a life of firm kindness.
As a friend to his son, Pastor Deji Akinsola, I got to spend a lot of time in his house. Papa Akinsola always received us warmly.
He was a great spiritual intellectual who had a vast collection of old and new books, many of which I had the pleasure of borrowing. He was a 'church father' to us, who were his children's friends.
One's life is as meaningful as the depth of impact one makes in other people's lives. Papa Akinsola impacted our lives so deeply. We are not mourning him; we are celebrating a life well spent and fruitful in the world and in God's kingdom.
It is a great joy to see the fruit of his labour in the lives of his wonderful children. He will be greatly missed.

Your influence on my academic journey has been immense, you encouraged me to pursue my dreams and your generosity have shaped me into the person I am today.
As I mourn your loss, I 'm grateful for the lessons you taught me and the love you shared. You may not have been my biological father, but you have been a true dad to me in every way that counts.
Rest in peace, Daddy. I love you more than words can express."
