Ella Nora Quinlan-Oatis

Always put God first
Obituary
Ella Quinlan-Oatis passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 79. Truly an angel on earth, Ella has now taken her place as an angel in heaven, watching over all who loved her and all whom she held dear.
Born in South Carolina on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1946, to Maybell Simmons and Joseph Geddis, Ella grew up as one of 14 siblings. Though she left home as a young woman, she carried her deeply rooted faith and family values wherever she went, eventually becoming the heart and matriarch of a close-knit family in a new state.
Devoted to the Lord and her loved ones, Ella was the center of every world she entered. She was funny, caring, and had an infectious laugh and a bright, beautiful smile. Raising her two children, Patrick Quinlan and Nicole Quinlan-Lee, was the absolute joy of her life. She often said she didn’t need a wide circle of friends because her family was everything, a sentiment echoed deeply by everyone she raised and loved.
A God-fearing woman with a heart of boundless generosity, Ella went above and beyond to serve her community. Active in her church, she led a food outreach program that brought members together every other week to feed up to 150 families at a time, a mission she faithfully led until her final days.
She leaves behind her devoted husband, Harry Oatis, her surviving siblings, four grandchildren, and two grand-pups, along with many others whose lives she touched. To know Ella was to feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. She was truly the most amazing human being to her family and all who knew her. She will be missed beyond measure.
