Job 14:14 If an able-bodied man dies can he live again? All the days of my compulsory service I shall wait, Until my relief comes.

This is to remember the passing of my Father, Edgar Lewis, born in Pwllheli North wales and died in Anerley KwaZuluNatal South Africa on the 15th June 2016.
Born on 20th August 1933, in Pwllheli North Wales, Dad was a beloved husband to Hazel Mary Lewis, and father to his only child Elwyn. My Dad was known for his staunch strict spirit, and fairness as well as his unwavering devotion to his family. He had 3 grandchildren namely, Justin, Elwyn junior and Kerry Anne, 3 great grandchildren Jonathan, Amy, and Rebel Rose, 2 step-grandchildren Ryan and Craig. Edgar had only one sibling his sister Dyllis.
My Dad was a Captain in the Rhodesian Army, all who served under his command loved and respected him. Dad later joined the South African Army at the rank of Major in the 8th Armoured division, he touched the lives of many through his generosity and fair and compassionate nature. He was an extremely proud Welshman and Rhodesian. Upon his retirement from the Rhodesian Army, he was presented with a beautiful plaque mounted on tusks, (photo in Gallery) and Chabuku Beer a real honour from his troops.
My Dad is deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory be a blessing to those who knew and loved him.
