Cry not for me, mine was a life well lived, rich with memories and a lasting legacy. I leave you not out of spite, but to prepare a grand feast in anticipation of the Lord’s coming. In my stead, I leave you my favorite scripture
Psalm 121:1–2, to remind you that the Lord on High remains your source, your comfort, and your joy.
Until the day we meet again, remember: You are loved, cherished and above all treasured beyond measure
I remain — the humble host of January 1st.
– Daddy Ayodele
Obituary
Born the first son of the late Chief Abraham Ayodele (Chief BADOTU of Ile-Oluji) and Mrs. Omoghimeye Solagbade Ayodele of lle-Oluji Kingdom, Ondo State on the 29th April 1943, Daddy Akinboyewa Ebenezer lived a life that could only be described as full, generous, and unforgettable. From his earliest days, he carried the weight and wisdom of his heritage, blending tradition with a heart wide open to all who crossed his path. The fourth-born of eleven siblings, he learned early, the need for a good education, the art of patience, compassion, and family devotion — lessons he carried forward into every season of his life.
A devoted husband to Dr. Marie Ayodele, and a father of six, Daddy’s household was never limited by blood. Like Father Abraham himself, he opened his doors — and his heart — to anyone seeking guidance, comfort, or a listening ear. To all who knew him, he was a pillar of kindness, a wellspring of encouragement, and a master of turning ordinary moments into lasting memories.
His greatest joys were simple yet profound: faith in God, the laughter of his children, and the delight of teaching others. Every January 1st, he became the heart of the family, orchestrating gatherings that transformed a day into a celebration of togetherness, love, and the joy of being alive.
Daddy was instantly recognizable for his infectious smile, twinkling eyes, and a humor that could light up any room. He had a way of making everyone — from the youngest grandchild to the eldest neighbor — feel uniquely valued, seen, and loved. His legacy is not only in the children and grandchildren who carry his name, but in the countless hearts he touched along the way.
Though he is just slightly out of reach, Daddy’s life continues to speak — in laughter remembered, lessons imparted, and love freely given.
