Obituary
Earl Baxter Bowden (affectionately known as “Bruh”) passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026. He lived a life defined by love, service, and steady devotion to the people and things that mattered most to him. He was a man who loved to stay busy—whether he was in the kitchen preparing meals, outside cutting grass with care, or tending to Bear, his beloved dog.
Earl was a proud husband, father, grandfather, and brother who found joy in caring for his family and being present in their lives. His love extended beyond his home to his church family, where he faithfully served in multiple ministries, always willing to lend a hand and support others.
He will be remembered for his warmth, his strong work ethic, and the quiet but powerful ways he showed love every day. His legacy lives on in the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.

Survived by
He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; his children, Tomeika and Jacqueline (Montese), his cherished grandchildren; his siblings, Bryce, Dean, Lisa, and Belinda; and a host of beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss his warmth and helping hand.
Preceded in Death
He was preceded in death by his father, William; his mother, Johnnie; and siblings, Lynette and Bernard.
