

Obituary
Australian editor, publisher, writer and occasional curator Dr. Ashley Crawford was deeply respected internationally for his contributions to the arts sector and publishing community.
Ashley was a comrade and mentor to many, particularly as an international arts editor and publisher of The Virgin Press, Tension, World Art, 21•C, Artbyte and Photofile magazines; author of numerous books and monographs on contemporary art and culture; regular contributor to The Age, The Australian, The Guardian, The Financial Review, The Sydney Morning Herald and numerous other publications; and cofounder of NotFair Art Foundation.
Ashley had a voracious lust for life, art and ideas. His passing is a great loss to the arts community and is felt deeply by those who knew and loved him. His is survived by a sister, daughter and granddaughter.
