The love you gave us remains our guiding light.

Obituary

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Abdul, our loving father and husband to our mother Saker, who was born on 18th May 1947 and passed away on 24th July 2026 peacefully at the age of 79 in his home in Surrey.

Our dad gave us everything we could ask for, love, advice, and unlimited time. He lived with incredible energy, staying active and healthy, and proving every day that nothing was too much trouble for the people he loved. His love and care extended naturally from his family and friends to his actual patients that he looked after for over 40 years. But his ultimate joy was found at home with our mother, Saker, his children, and his grandchildren. Family was everything to him. Dad was always there for us, just a phone call away and the loss we feel as a family is immeasurable. Our lives will never be the same without him and we are so deeply grateful for the love he poured into our family, which will stay with us forever.

We created this page as a special place to honour his incredible life, share memories, and keep his beautiful spirit alive. Whether you knew him as a family member, a colleague, a patient, or a dear friend, we invite you to read, remember, and reflect with us. We would love for you to share your own messages, stories, and pictures in memory of him on this page, so we can celebrate the many ways he touched our lives.

As we mourn the departure of our father from this temporary world, we take comfort in our faith and pray that Allah expands their grave, bathes them in His divine mercy, and grants them the highest station in Jannah (Paradise). إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ
We will miss you so much Dad, but your spirit will be with us always.

Love eternally, Mohamed, Ali, Kaneez and Mum

In Loving Memory of Dr. Abdul Husain Nadijee

Dear Nadijee Family,

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr. Abdul Husain Nadijee. Since hearing the news, I have found myself thinking about him constantly. It is hard to accept that someone who has been part of my life for more than 40 years is no longer with us.

Dr. Nadijee was much more than my doctor. He was a trusted friend, a kind and gentle man, and someone I had complete faith in. Whenever I walked into his surgery, I knew I would be met with kindness, patience and understanding. Those are rare qualities, and he gave them so freely.

He cared for my dear mother from the beginning until the very end of her life. Through every stage, he treated her with compassion, dignity and respect. He also cared for our whole family, never making us feel that we were just another appointment. He always made time to listen, to reassure us and to help in every way he could. That kindness is something I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

There are people who pass through our lives, and there are people who become part of our lives. Dr. Nadijee became part of mine. For over four decades, he was someone I could always rely on. His wisdom, his calm manner and his genuine care brought comfort not only to me but to so many others.

When I think of him, I will not only remember an outstanding doctor. I will remember a truly good man—a man with a kind heart, a warm smile and a gentle soul. The world is a poorer place without him, but it is a better place because he lived.

Please accept my deepest condolences. I hope it brings you some comfort to know how much he meant to the people he cared for. His kindness, his friendship and the difference he made in so many lives will never be forgotten.

May God bless him, grant him eternal peace, and give your family strength and comfort in the days ahead.

With heartfelt sympathy and everlasting gratitude,

You Left Us So Suddenly, and the News of Your Passing Struck Us Like a Thunderbolt... My Beloved Brother Whom My Mother Never Gave Birth To, the Late Dr. Abdulnabi.

You left us so suddenly, and the news of your passing struck us like a thunderbolt, leaving us speechless with grief, breaking our hearts, and filling our eyes with tears.

My beloved brother whom my mother never gave birth to, Dr. Abdulhussain

Your passing was not just the loss of a person; it was a profound tragedy that deeply wounded everyone who had the privilege of knowing and loving you. You were a shining example of noble character, wisdom, sincerity, and compassion. Your life was dedicated to serving others, spreading kindness, and bringing hope wherever you went. You touched countless lives with your generosity, humility, and unwavering support.

Your name will forever remain engraved in our hearts, and your beautiful legacy will continue to live on through the countless lives you inspired. Your memory will never fade, and your noble deeds will always be remembered.

We pray that Almighty God forgives you, showers you with His infinite mercy, makes your grave a garden from the gardens of Paradise, and elevates your rank among the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. May He reward you abundantly for every act of goodness you performed.

Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we shall return.

May Allah have mercy upon you, grant you eternal peace in Paradise, and give your family and loved ones strength and patience. We are deeply saddened by your departure, yet we submit to the will of God, saying only what pleases Him: "Surely we belong to Allah, and to Him we shall return."

Having known Abdul and Saker for decades, it is difficult to put into words just how much Abdul meant to us.
I still fondly remember when he first joined the surgery as a young man ..his bright smile and radiant energy left a lasting impression on me right from the start.
Over the years, both Abdul and Saker became truly close friends.
Words simply fall short, and there are no superlatives or words in the dictionary to describe the profound character of this amazing man.
His lens on life was always about turning everything into positivity, navigating every moment with unconditional love and incredible patience. Abdul was an unsung hero who impacted thousands of lives ,not just through his exceptional care as a GP, but through his silent acts of extraordinary acts of kindness
I remember being at the surgery recently and accidentally witnessing a courier dropping medication directly into his car so he could personally take care of someone in need, and I know there was so much more he did behind the scenes that we were never even aware of.
He left an indelible mark on my life, and I know everyone he treated holds nothing but deep gratitude for the person he was.
Beyond his incredible kindness, his infectious smile, laughter, and pure love for life he brightened every room. I’ll always cherish his hilarious stories about his days as a junior doctor in the hospital.
Humanity has lost a truly great soul, and he will be sorely missed.
Abdul, you are now one with the Almighty, having touched countless lives and hearts.
We are profoundly grateful that our paths crossed in this lifetime.
May your Soul Rest In Eternal Peace🙏

Dear Saker,Mohamed, Ali and Kaneez,
We were deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Dr Nabijee.
May his soul rest in peace, and may the Almighty keep him in His loving care forever.
I was a registered patient at Alexandra Surgery from 2004 to 2011. Our relationship with Dr Nabijee extended beyond that of doctor and patient. My daughter, Anushka and one of his granddaughters were classmates at Bishop Gilpin Primary School.
Dr Nabijee was always kind, caring, and pragmatic in his approach. He consistently put his patients' interests first and always did his utmost to ensure they received the best possible care within the system. At a time when many people faced bureaucratic hurdles in accessing healthcare, our family was fortunate to receive prompt and excellent care under his able leadership.
As a family, we remain deeply grateful for his support and guidance in matters relating to our health. We are truly indebted to him for the compassion and dedication he showed us over the years.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences. We can only imagine how difficult this loss must be for your family. We wanted you to know that Dr Nabijee will always be remembered with great respect, gratitude, and affection by his patients. His legacy of kindness and service will continue to live on in the hearts of those whose lives he touched.
With kindest regards,

Dear Ali,
I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved father. Please accept our heartfelt condolences. our thoughts are with you, your family, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him during this very difficult time.
Although my acquaintance with your father was through relatively brief encounters over many years, I always held him in the highest regard. During my time at Haria Pharmacy, I would occasionally collect handwritten prescriptions from his surgery on Alexandra Road in Wimbledon, and I also remember the occasions when he visited our pharmacy on Coombe Lane. Every meeting with him left a lasting impression. He was always warm, courteous, approachable and a true gentleman. He had a calm and gracious manner that immediately put people at ease, and it was evident that he cared deeply for those around him.
As a doctor, your father dedicated his life to serving others with kindness and compassion, and I am sure he touched the lives of countless patients, colleagues and friends. Although I knew him only through those brief encounters, I have always remembered him with great respect and admiration.
Ali, we can only imagine how painful this loss must be for you and your family. Losing a father is one of life's greatest sorrows, but I hope that the many wonderful memories you shared with him, together with the knowledge of the good he did throughout his life, will bring you comfort and strength in the days ahead.
May Allah bless your father with eternal peace and the highest place in Jannat al -Firdaws, and grant you and your family strength, comfort and patience in the days ahead.
Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. May your father's memory continue to be a source of inspiration and blessing to all who knew him.
With deepest sympathy and warmest regards,

Nana, I wish I could have hugged you one last time and told you how unbelievably lucky I am to have you as my grandfather. You taught us to embrace life and not stress over the little things. You’d say, “don’t worry, be happy” and we would laugh like it was silly, but you actually lived by those words. You took yourself lightly and made the most of every day, always keeping fit and busy, but never too busy to lend a helping hand.

Thank you for everything. For always answering my calls. Always asking about “Lunabhai” and looking after her when we were away. Getting her a Santa hat so she could get into the festive spirit. Always bringing us food - kebabs, aloo paratha, mangoes, nicely cut watermelon, etc - and checking in a few days to see if we had run out and wanted more. For humbling us with candid pictures (wide-angle, always). Picking us up from the airport because you didn’t want us to stress about the journey home. For being our doctor, our safe space. The list goes on and on.

Nothing was ever too much for you. You had so much love for life and the people around you, and I will always strive to live the way you did. If I had to bet on anyone being invincible, it’d always be you. I never thought I’d have to say goodbye so soon. You were one of a kind. I love you and I miss you 🩷

Dr Nabijee a truly remarkable man who was so much more than our family doctor. He was a constant source of kindness, compassion and reassurance to so many people over the years.
He cared deeply for every patient, always taking the time to listen, to comfort and to help, no matter how busy he was. His dedication to his work was extraordinary, and he made countless lives better through his skill, generosity and unwavering commitment.
But beyond being an exceptional doctor, he was a wonderful friend. He had a warm heart, a great sense of humour, and an infectious laugh that could brighten even the most difficult days. He had a way of making everyone feel valued, respected and cared for, and that is a rare gift.
It makes his passing all the more difficult to understand. His sudden loss has left a deep sadness in the hearts of his family, friends, colleagues whose lives he touched.
His legacy is not only in the lives he saved or the illnesses he treated, but in the comfort, hope and friendship he gave so freely.
Thank you for everything you did for our family and for so many others. You made a lasting difference in this world, and you will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace. You will be greatly missed, fondly remembered, and forever held in our hearts.
We pray God gives strength to Saker and all the family members .❤️🙏

Here is a tribute written to honor Dr. Nabijee’s life and legacy:
In Loving Memory of Dr. Nabijee
Passed away on July 23rd
"Some people enter our lives as professionals, but through their kindness, wisdom, and grace, they become forever woven into the fabric of our families."
A Noble Heart, An Extraordinary Legacy
It is with profound sadness and deep gratitude that we honor the memory of Dr. Nabijee, an extraordinary human being whose presence brought comfort, hope, and unwavering support to our lives.
Dr. Nabijee was far more than a physician; he was a steadfast pillar of strength for my brother’s family. His guidance extended well beyond medical care—he was a trusted advisor, a source of constant reassurance, and a true friend who walked alongside us through life’s most challenging moments.
A Debt of Gratitude
Our entire family remains deeply grateful for his incredible support during my father’s operation. During a time filled with anxiety and uncertainty, Dr. Nabijee’s devotion, care, and steady hand gave us peace of mind. That special bond and his selfless involvement during such a critical moment will never be forgotten.
Forever Missed
Dr. Nabijee embodied the very best of humanity: compassion, wisdom, and selfless service. His loss leaves a quiet void in our hearts, but his legacy of kindness and the lives he touched will remain with us forever.
Rest in peace, Dr. Nabijee. You were a true friend, and you will be greatly missed.

Some people become part of your childhood in a way that stays with you for ever, and uncle was one of those people for me. Growing up, he was one of the first elders I knew - a kind, familiar presence who always made you feel welcome and at ease. As the father of some of my dearest and oldest friends, he was also part of so many warm and happy memories over the years.

My thoughts and du’as are with the family and all who loved him during this difficult time. May Allah have mercy on him, and grant him the highest place in paradise.

Uncle, I never had the opportunity to meet you in person, but I was fortunate to speak with you many times. Whenever I needed medical advice, you were always my first point of contact. What touched me most was that you wouldn't just advise me but you would check back after a few days to make sure everything was fine. That kindness and genuine concern will always stay with me.

Every year, without fail, you remembered to send me Diwali greetings. Through Kaneez, I heard so much about your discipline, your belief in completing things the same day, and how relentlessly you worked throughout your life.

Although we never met in person, your kindness left an impression on me, and you will truly be missed.

My Daily Gym Partner, A dear friend, professional colleague, mentor etc etc. A LEGEND! I have known Abdul since 1985 when I bought my pharmacy in Wimbledon. We met at an educational meeting and he told me he was originally from Aden. I told him my Maternal Grandfather was from Aden. This small conversation fired up our life long friendship. He has been my GP for many years. He cared for his patients and always went out of his way.

Outside from his professional life Abdul was always fun loving and game for any event. He loved his family and treasured his "Friday Evening Family Time"
Abdul has left an indelible mark and we will always remember the good times we spent. May his soul rest in peace.

Although I never had the honour of meeting you, through Kaneez I felt as though I knew you. I was always in awe of the love, wisdom, kindness and unwavering support you gave your family. Kaneez so often spoke of turning to you for advice, whether life was presenting something big or small she would say “let me ask my dad” and then share the thoughtful words and guidance you offered. She spoke of your understanding, your patience and your ability to listen without judgement, gifts that shaped the lives of those around you.

May Allah SWT grant you the highest ranks of Jannatul Firdaus, expand and illuminate your grave, and accept you amongst His righteous servants. May He grant Kaneez and all who love you beautiful sabr, strength and comfort during this immense loss. Though you are no longer with them, your love, your wisdom and the values you instilled live on in every life you touched.

I never got to meet Dr Nabijee, but have been good friends with his son Mo for several years. I can say without fear of contradiction that Mo has been raised impeccably and is a credit to his parents. He is genuinely caring thoughtful person and someone I'm proud to call a friend. The few times we talked about parents in conversation he spoke of the admiration love and respect he had for his father who I am sure will be sorely missed. RIP.

Abdul Mamu, you weren’t just our uncle—you were someone we looked up to, someone we could always turn to. No matter what was going on, you always had time for us, always ready with advice, a smile, or words that made everything feel a little easier.

Every family gathering, you were the one behind the camera, making sure every smile, every laugh, and every special moment was captured. Looking back now, we realise you weren’t just taking photos and videos—you were preserving the memories we’ll hold onto forever. Because of you, we’ll always have those moments to look back on.

It doesn’t feel real that you won’t be there at our next family gathering, camera in hand, calling everyone together for “just one more picture.”

Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, your guidance, and for loving our family so deeply. We will miss your laughter, your presence, and the way you made everyone feel seen and cared for.

Where do I even begin to say goodbye to a man who has been a constant presence in my life for over 40 years?

I first walked into your surgery as a shy 12-year-old girl, holding my late father's hand. I was nervous, as children often are, but you had a gift. You made me feel safe and comfortable from that very first visit. I'll never forget that jar of white mice sweets you kept on your desk—a small gesture of kindness that turned a scary doctor's visit into something I actually looked forward to.

Now, at 53, I look back and realise you weren't just my doctor; you were a thread woven through the fabric of my life. Through my teenage years, through adulthood, and through all the various reasons life gave me to seek your advice, you were always there. Your surgery was more than a clinic; it was a place of reassurance.

Over the years, our relationship transcended that of patient and doctor. We became friends. You became a dear, kind soul who I would periodically chat with, and who would periodically call me just to check in.

Even when we spoke on the phone or texted, I could never bring myself to call you by your first name. To me, you were always Dr. Nabijee—a title you had earned and one that I held in the highest regard. It was my small way of honouring the years of care, wisdom, and dedication you had given me. I spoke to you just this past Wednesday for a general catch-up. In your usual fashion, you were positive, funny, and incredibly kind. We talked about your family, and I could hear that unmistakable pride in your voice as you spoke of your children and grandchildren. Your joy in them was always so palpable.

It's unfathomable that just 48 hours later, that voice has fallen silent. The world feels a little dimmer without your light in it. You have left a void that cannot be filled.

But Dr. Nabijee, you will never be forgotten. You will always remain my doctor in spirit, and a dear friend forever in my heart.

I will miss our chats immensely. I will miss your positivity, your wisdom, and your guidance. Thank you for the years of care, for the sweets, and for being the wonderful human being you were.

Until we meet again.

With lots and lots of love, Raheela ❤️

We may have shared only a few memories in a world divided by borders, but your name has forever echoed beside my beloved Grandmother, Maimoona.

You cared for my Naani with the unwavering devotion of a true brother, and I know you brought that same grace to being a husband, father, son, and friend

May Allah grant you forgiveness and shower you with goodness in the Hereafter. By the mercy of the Almighty, may we meet again and remain together for eternity. Ameen.

Still can’t come to terms with Abdul uncle not being with us. Not just the purest of human beings, but truly a legend and one of the pillars of the family. There isn’t enough words in the world to describe his kindness, wisdom and selflessness towards others. Abdul Uncle you leave a huge hole in the family that can’t be filled by any other and you will forever be in our hearts. Rest is peace, we all love and miss you terribly, but know you are watching over us 💔😢

He fondly called me Sulemanjee. Mama was our chatgpt in medical terms. Our go to guide from a sneeze to every other DIY. Mom’s words would sometimes make us jealous when for everything she would say “Abdul told me..”
You will forever live with us.
For me you are a reflection of my dad who was full of love and laughter.
Love you loads.
Jiji.. i may not be there to hold you or Kaneez or Mohammad and Ali but u r always in our thoughts..

Dad, you left us too soon 😔💔, I always thought you would live longer than all of us. The void you leave behind is unimaginable. You were always the rock in our family—the person we turned to for strength, stability, and comfort.

You spent your life healing others, but at home, you were our ultimate comfort. When we were young, whenever we got hurt, you would always just calmly tell us, ‘It’s nothing,’ instantly washing away our fears and making everything feel okay.

Your ability to see the positive in every situation was a gift to all of us. I wouldn’t be half the person I am today without your love, guidance, and support. You taught me how to walk through this life with grace and resilience. I know you are watching over us from above now, and that your spirit will always be our guiding light. I love you Dad. Rest in peace … Ali

He was the Backbone of Wimbledon,
- the back Backbone of our Lives
A Giant amongst Friends,
- with Heart enough for All
A God to those lives he saved,
- and above all He was a Beautiful Man and a Deep Friend to Me.

Pure human beings don’t go. They remain. They remain in our hearts, our stories and memories

Mama was always there for me and there was always something to learn in anything he said. I have so many funny stories to share as I’m sure other do too but again it shows the sort of father, brother. Cousin, uncle and quite simply the human being he was.

I love you mama
