Obituary

It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our beloved sister, daughter, mother, and aunt, Doreen Frances Pochirowski. Doreen was born on May 12, 1939, in Bonnyville, Alberta, Canada, to Jack and Tillie Pochirowski. She was the fourth of six children and a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her.

As we bid farewell to this remarkable soul, we dedicate ourselves to carrying forward the torch she so quietly and faithfully carried throughout her life. Doreen was known for her gentle disposition, her deep humanity, generosity, loyalty, and selflessness. Her love for children and animals was profound, and it is in these qualities that she would most wish to be remembered.

Doreen is also remembered for her fierce determination to make the world a better place, her unwavering faith, and the values she held deeply in her heart. She trusted in Divine Providence, which guided her earthly journey and now reunites her with her Heavenly Family—God, Mother Mary, their son Jesus—and a host of angels, saints, prophets, and celestial beings.

Doreen was predeceased by her parents, Jack and Tillie Pochirowski; her brother, William (Bill) Pochirowski; her brother-in-law, Stanley Luciak; her grandparents (Antoniak); and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends are warmly invited to leave their condolences, memories, and stories on this memorial site {www.online-tribute.com/DoreenFrancesPochirowski}, so they may be shared and cherished by her family.

Aunty Doreen, how I will miss you. You were always the most eclectic aunt 💜! I have so many memories, but what stands out most are the nights at Baba’s house when I would sleep with you in your gigantic waterbed. Your apartment was always filled with the strangest and most wonderful things — the crystals, the rice milk, and the chanting music! You always spoiled Dustan and me, and we had so much fun with you. You had such a funny, unforgettable sense of humour. I already miss you so much. Please give Baba a big hug from me. 💜
