It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Donna M Jones-Reilly, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend. Donna passed away on April 10, 2024 in Gaithersburg, Maryland at the age of 67 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital due to a sudden and unexpected illness.
Donna was born on July 1, 1956, and throughout her life, she touched the hearts of all who knew her. She was a kind and caring individual, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need, and committed years of her life to volunteer work as a mental health peer advocate. Donna was a strong and resilient woman, facing life's challenges with grit and determination, despite her own struggles with bipolar disorder since the age of 18.
Donna had a passion for animals, music, and theater. She was a true advocate for those who were less fortunate, always fighting for justice and equality. Donna’s generosity knew no bounds, and her compassion knew no limits, and she always stood up for what she believed in her heart and soul.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, Kent Reilly, and two children, Natasha Jones and Nadia Jones. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Myers and nephew, Jesse Myers. She was preceded in death by her stillborn son, Stephen Jeffrey, who she now joins in eternal peace.
Though Donna may no longer be with us, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
Rest in peace, Donna M Jones-Reilly. May your spirit continue to shine bright in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know you.
