In the hearts of those who loved you, you will always be.
Obituary
The family of David Joseph Mora is heartbroken to announce his unexpected passing on Friday, February 27, 2026. Age 61 from Bristol, Connecticut; born October 18, 1964, and grew up in Plainville.
Dave was a selfless, witty, outdoorsy, hardworking man, who cared deeply for those he surrounded himself with. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. He loved spending time with family and hanging out with close friends. He was a proud father to his children, who meant the world to him. He recently moved to North Carolina, as one of his dreams was to move south.
Dave could be seen on the golf course with lots of laughs and goof offs, there was never a dull moment. He enjoyed working in the yard with the kids and playing with the grandchildren, also watching sports in the garage with Uncle Roger. He could do just about anything handy, loved his woodworking projects, which brought him to his job working at Shelbourne/ Diversified in Hartford. He took care of all the tenants offices and went above and beyond to help everyone. He naturally made friends with his quick wit and friendly personality. He was always a hard worker with a great work ethic that included his many years at Yarde Metals in Southington where he met and made many lifetime friends. The shenanigans...he was the life of the party, with a good joke and his famous saying "$42.50". I will miss you brother. I love you! till we see you again.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah; his children, Danny Theriault, John, and Hannah Mora; his stepchildren, Robert, Katelyn, and LeeAnn Pilbro; and several cherished grandchildren. His siblings are Annette, Lori, Billy, Robert Mora, and Daren Billings, along with several other close family members. He was predeceased by his parents, Janet Billings and Joseph Mora. Services will be posted on David Mora’s Facebook. He will be loved and remembered by friends and family.
