Goodbye is not forever; farewell is not the end. It simply means I'll miss you until we meet again."
Obituary
David H. Jones II, resident of Chesterfield, Virginia, passed away on October 29, 2026, at the age of 33.
David leaves behind two daughters, Elizabeth “Lizzie” Price (Jones) and Wraylynn Jones; his mother, Dorothy Beach; his father, David Jones I, and stepmother, Jessica Jones; and his grandmother, Rose Jones. He is also remembered by his siblings, Rose (Edward) Clements, Amber Alvarez, Davina (Brandon) Locklear, Juliette Jones, Zoe Jones, Abby Jones, Ann Walton, and Larry Lucas. He shared a special bond with his nieces and nephews Edward and Grayson Clements; Claudia, Cali, Carlos, and Lila Alvarez; and David, Aubrey, and Brayden Locklear.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Billy Jones; his grandparents, Ella and Al Formando; and great uncle and aunt, Robert and Erma Jones.
David will be remembered for the energy he brought to everyday life, whether it was rocking out to music or techno dancing. He was a big kid at heart, always laughing and smiling and someone who loved moments shared with his family, especially his daughters. He enjoyed nerf gun fights, gaming, building Lego sets, and the never-ending challenge of Monopoly.
David earned his GED and worked various skilled jobs, including painting, powerwashing, dry wall, and more. He enjoyed working with his hands. The value he placed on physical labor, combined with his religious beliefs, reflected his understanding of God's care.
John 11:25–26 – "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die."
Those who knew David will remember a life marked by laughter, playfulness, and the simple happiness found in shared time together. He will be deeply missed by his family.
A private graveside service will be held.

My heart hurts. You should still be here. Growing up, you were my little sidekick. You were always by my side. I even took you to Ocean City on my senior trip before graduating high school. I will never forget how much you loved the holidays. You would sing Christmas Carols with the kids and they loved every second. Life will never be the same without our impromptu nerf gun wars. Despite your struggles, you knew how to have fun. You deserved more. I don't think you knew that. I wanted you to be happy and healthy. Maybe in some small way, you are now. I pray that you are at peace. I miss you more than you know. I love you so much.
