Obituary

On Friday, January 12, 2024; aged 68 years young. It is with heavy hearts we share with you all that Dave passed away with 2 of his favourite Ginga Ninjas by his side. Dave was a cherished and devoted husband of Dianne, confidant, financial advisor, dad-joke teller, fiercely loyal and adored dad and father-in-law of the late Kimberley (KJ), Katie and Nick, Justin and Lydia, special grandad David of wee Peter, George and Millie. Dave was also an amazing brother, brother-in-law, uncle, fairy godfather, son, son-in-law, mate and friend to many. Dave devoted his life to caring for others, something he was passionate about his whole working life. Thankyou to the wonderful teams at Alpine View and Banbury Park Care Centres for the exceptional care Dave received, the many chats and laughs he shared with you all he really enjoyed and the nurse in him remained till the end with him sharing his knowledge and organizing you all. Messages to the Collins family, c/o PO Box 111-01, Christchurch 8443. It was Dave's instruction to be farewelled "his way" and this we did a few hours after his death.
