With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Daryll Whitlow, who was born on April 29, 1964 and passed away peacefully on March 14, 2026 in Atlanta, GA.

A man of kindness and charisma, Daryll treasured his family above all else. His enduring legacy remains his passionate mastery of percussion. Professionally celebrated as the "Deep Pocket Pro," Daryll infused every performance with unmatched timing and soul. His incredible talent shone brightly on national stages, touring with iconic Broadway productions like Disney's The Lion King and It Ain't Nothin' But the Blues. He played for such notables as Patrice Rushan, Victor Orlando, Gail Johnson. His longest engagement and joy was playing with his musician brothers in their jazz group called Urban Groove.
The passing of Daryll leaves a space that cannot be filled. Yet the memories and moments shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy ______ whom he adored. He is survived by his sister Peyton Wright, sons Darius and Daryll Whitlow, Aunt Betty ____, ________________ and a host of cousins and friends.
Daryll Whitlow will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
