Danny, You were a great friend and confidant. The world has lost a truly unique soul full of skill, heart, and dedication to craft, be it Magic, guitar playing, video games, making your car look like an undercover FBI car, or painting figurines, you always seemed to create perfection. I will not forget you.

There are no words that could ever truly ease the weight of losing a child—especially one as remarkable as Danny. Reading his obituary, I was deeply moved by the vibrant, wise, and deeply loving soul he was. His legacy radiates through every sentence—a man of strength, creativity, compassion, and honesty. He clearly left a mark on every life he touched. Though I only recently came to know you in the past few years, it is already so clear how much love and warmth you carry—and I imagine Danny was shaped by that same light. The kind of heart he had—the kind that saw others, helped them heal, made them laugh, and offered wisdom without hesitation—doesn’t come from nowhere. It comes from a mother’s love. Dan and I are holding you close in our hearts. We are praying for your comfort in this devastating time. Please know that you are not alone—we grieve with you and stand beside you in sorrow and in memory. Danny is not gone; his spirit lives on in every life he lifted, every piece of art he made, every song he played, and every person who carries his memory forward. May he rest now in perfect peace, whole and free. And may you be wrapped in God’s love and surrounded by those who will help you carry this grief with grace and hope. If we can do anything please reach out. With all our love, Linda & Dan

We are so deeply sorry for your loss. During this time may you and your family find solace in the love and memories you shared with Danny. His spirit will live on in the lives he touched. ~David & Veronica “We pray that in this time of loss, You'll feel God's love much more And that you'll find your comfort In the presence of the Lord We pray God pours upon you, His sweet amazing grace And overflow your heart with peace As you live in His embrace” (M.S. Lowndes)

This obituary could not be more accurate when it comes to describing Daniel. Although I may have never met him, he was able to translate all of his qualities online for others to benefit from. He will be missed, truly. RIP Cats

The news of Daniel's passing was hard to hear, and I hope he's in a better place now. You were a charming, funny, and fantastic friend to all, evidently both in real life and online as well. Thank you for all the laughs, all the funny pictures, all of the shared words, and most importantly all of the smiles you put on my face and everyone else's even if most of us just knew you as the funny cat picture guy. You're deeply loved and you'll be sorely missed in more hearts than you could have ever known.

I didn't have the honor of knowing Daniel personally, but I talked with him frequently via an online forum, and he was a great man who always knew how to spread joy and cheer, and bring a smile to everyone who interacted with him. He was an amzing human being, and he will be missed. Godspeed Daniel.

You will be missed. Thanks for always being a voice of respected reason in the face of chaos, and just an all around pleasant person.

I don't think I ever spoke to him directly, but I always smiled seeing Cats' posts. He always left a fun, funny, lighthearted bit of nonsense in the midst of a really heavy world and I hope he knew how many people's days were a little brighter because of him. I hope he's at peace, and I hope he knows that he'll be missed.

Even through the brief interactions I’ve had with Daniel, he always stood out from the crowd with his ability to bring positivity and heartwarming energy to the conversation. May we all be lucky enough to have him in our presence again.

Daniel was likely the most universally beloved guy online on our forum. Didn’t matter their politics, demographics, or where they were from — everyone who was on there loved him and his posts. We’d celebrate when he came back from the occasional hiatus and plead for his return when he was gone. I can’t think of many other people that would even get a fraction of that level of love and respect. He positively affected so many lives and the world is better having had him in it. God bless Daniel and his family.

To his family: He was well-liked and brought a lot of laughter and joy to those who knew him in online spaces. In an anonymous and virtual world it is no small thing to make a positive impression and be remembered and missed. I am terribly sorry for your loss.

I'm deeply saddened to hear of Daniel's passing. His influence has reached many across the world. He had such a funny, positive personality that has touched many more people than he'd ever realised. Rest in Peace Daniel, You'll be endlessly missed.

(I see other forum posters have gotten here before me) We only knew you as Cats online. You were a bright person with a quirky sense of humor. You loved cats and wrote extensively on your dear mother. If she's reading this, know that he deeply loved you enough to tell strangers on the internet about how awesome you were and how much you inspired him. He posted his silly art to us and told many stories of his youth. Cats, I always loved reading your posts online. You were always so polite and friendly. You loved making others laugh when you were going through dark times. I'm sorry you were hurting this badly, many of us have been there before. We appreciated the laughs and still do. Hundreds of random people will miss you. May you meet again with the orange cat you saved and rehabbed with your mother and any other friends you've lost along the way. I hope your other 8 lives are brighter, fellow poster. Until we meet again.

Lurker of a forum he posted on. Never made an account to post with, just liked to read through it. He was my favorite poster, very amusing and creative in many ways. I wish I had registered and messaged him just to let him know that. I hope where ever you are now, Daniel, that there's a bunch of cats. The site and the world isn't as bright without you in it.

I study economics as my job. I don’t know that Daniel, or Cats as he was to us, had any interest in it, but I thought it may make it personal to say: Adam Smith had this quote, “Mankind naturally desires not only to be loved, but to be lovely.” Cats was both. He was lovely and he was loved, dearly, by our community. He loved his cats and he shared it with us through a sense of humor that was unmistakably his own. A memorable and a wonderful human being. He’s with God now, and may he be at peace. We’ll all miss him.
