Of all the great leaders that I’ve worked for over my career Dan is the one that had the most positive and long-lasting impact. I was fortunate to work for him three different times during my tenure at Coca-Cola, and of all the traits I admired the one that stood out was his willingness to give his people credit no matter how much of it he truly deserved. Off the playing field of work he also became a great friend, Jimmy Buffett tailgate conspirator, golf coach and fellow lover of a good cigar and glass of wine. More recently I found myself living around the corner from Dan, running into him walking the dog or headed to dinner with Tina, and was so happy to see him enjoying a well deserved life of retirement. He was taken from us way too soon but his memory will live on through so many that he touched. Rest in peace my friend and mentor.

My sincerest condolences to Dan’s family. I will always remember Dan for his endless capacity to share his contagious smile, his wisdom, and genuine desire to lift all for the greater good. I had the chance to work with Dan as a peer leading the Central region while guided by Dan in the West and Ben in the East! They both impacted my leadership. RIP Dan!

So many great things have been said about Dan. His big infectious smile, even keeled disposition, love for Tina and family! More than anything, to me, Dan was inviting and approachable. I met Dan through Fred Torbaty many years ago and had the absolute pleasure of golfing and traveling with the "Boys" for almost 15 years. Later, I met Steve Kim and together we played as a foursome for over a decade. WOW! all three of these men were/are the "real deal". Make no mistake, Dan could throw out a zinger and put me in place right away. But always, always he did it with a smile. As an earlier writer wrote, I now choose to focus on time with Dan well spent and what an absolute delight it has been to know him. See you upstairs Brother!

My husband, Dan and I met Dan and his family when we all moved into our Altezza neighborhood in Mission Viejo.
So many fun memories of Halloween, New Year’s and weekend backyard parties as well as the tiki torch driveway get-togethers.
I’ll always remember that infectious smile of Dan’s as well as that twinkle in his eyes.
Soft spoken, easy going and a true gentleman.
Our deepest condolences go out to Dan’s family, friends and all who knew and loved him

I am so sad to hear of Dan’s passing and my heart goes out to his family. Dan was my first manager at Coca-Cola and he blended professionalism, preparation and celebration quite perfectly. He was a leader who inspired and encouraged his team and was always there when they needed support. He was also great golfer with patience for those who were learning. I remember his beaming smile when I would make a great shot! Rest in peace Dan. Elaine

To have known Dan, one can’t help but remember how much he deeply cared about the people in his life, both professionally and personally. He positively impacted so many during his long career at The Coca-Cola Company, myself included. My deepest sympathies, prayers, and thoughts go out to Dan’s loved ones. I am so sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace.

We are terribly saddened by the passing of our dear friend Dan – it is truly hard to believe that he has left us. We had the great fortune of meeting Dan through my wife’s cousin, Tina. We quickly became very good friends – he was such a likeable man. He often shared with us how much he adored and loved Tina. He would accompany her to family functions and was always such a gentleman. He and Tina regularly would have us join them at his beautiful home to share exceptionally good wine and listen to Bruce Springsteen, we had so much fun together!

Dan’s humble and kind demeanor was reinforced by his high intellect, a strong work ethic, and a passion for showing love to his family and friends. Dan was a joyful treasure that we will always have in our hearts. We were so lucky and touched to have known such a wonderful man.

Marlene and I send our heartfelt condolences to Dan’s family and to Tina, we know how much you all loved him. We loved him too.

I knew Dan for 15-years as a leader and one day as a father. The amount of love and happiness I saw during that one day summed up who Dan was as a person. He was respected, loving, generous, kind, proud and most importantly genuine. You could always count on Dan to show up and be authentic and it’s because of his authenticity I will forever remember and hold close to my heart the qualities and characteristics Dan demonstrated on a daily basis.

I was so sorry to hear about Dan. I’ve known Dan for over 20 years. Truly one of the good guys out there. We had the opportunity to share a lot of great times over the years, buisness, golfing, sporting events, the list goes on and on. What a great host, buisness person, problem solver, and most of all a great friend. He will truly be missed and I’m so grateful to have known him. Praying for Dan’s family and friends.

Dan was an exemplar sales professional, a superb leader and seasoned manager. He demonstrated a unique ability to be a good listener and always seeking to find a solution in the customer's 'odds are'. He rotated to a number of jobs and geographies as part of a development plan that included varied experience and opportunity to contribute. In every job, in every territory he left a business in better shape than it was when he arrived. He helped shape and inspire and create conditions that allowed his team to explore, learn and contribute. He solved complex and seemingly impossible customer issues... and did so with a smile on his face and a genuine warmth. Always dependable, and wise as can be ... Dan Manning was one of the best in business and in life.

Dan was a friend, colleague, and a great person. I am shocked and saddened with his passing. He was a highly respected Coca-Cola executive who led with his contagious smile and steady demeanor. His care for customers was a model for all to aspire. Dan was a professional and a pleasure to work with under any situation. My time in the Western Area was magical because of the people. Dan was integral to that team and set the standard for decades. I will miss him and mourn with all who had the privilege of knowing Dan Manning. May he rest in peace.

Dan was quite simply a quality man. He was bright, professional, and always a part of the solution.
He was great to work with at The Coca-Cola Company, and it causes great sadness that one of the really good guys has passed far too early.
With deepest sympathies to his loving family. I am so sorry for your loss.

I am very saddened to hear of Dan's passing. Dan helped to interview me when I was hired by Coca-Cola in 1988 (Chicago office). Over the years, as we both moved to other cities, I would see Dan at meetings and events. He always had a smile and something positive to say. He was a really great guy and had a huge impact on my life as I recently retired from Coke after 35 years. My heart goes out to Dan's family. Please know that he enriched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

Such a great business professional and an even better person. He worked for me when he was in Boston. We had many great successes because of him. I played a role in helping him move West. His leadership of the Coke Team there was terrific! I always tried to get together with him when my travels took me there. I hold Dan in the highest regard. He will be missed a lot! Rest In Peace my friend!

I met Dan over 30 years ago while he was at Coke and I was at Jack in the Box. During my 20 years at Jack we had many adventures together, trips to Atlanta Coke HQ, concerts, franchise conferences, and many golf/dinners from Pebble Beach to Hawaii. We shared many laughs together especially playing golf.

What I remember most about Dan was how important his children were to him. He would light up the room with that big smile talking about what they were up to in life. He was so proud of them. He loved his career at Coke and surrounded himself with an amazing team of talent. A genuine person that was very respected in the industry and well liked by everyone.

Thank you for all the good times Dan. May you rest in Peace my friend. Sending prayers to your family.

Having been acquainted with Dan for many years “professionally”, we moved to becoming fast friends after attending a San Diego Chargers game in November 2012. John will say it was the first and only time he has ever missed any part of a sporting event, as we were having so much fun getting to know one another “personally”. Shortly after that day, we set Dan up on a blind date with Tina and we quickly became a foursome. That was the beginning of a special friendship that we will forever cherish.

Anyone that knows Danny Boy can attest that he was the consummate host, whether professionally and personally. Being both a client and a friend, we were fortunate enough to attend countless concerts (Jimmy Buffet being the favorite), trips to Pebble Beach, Super Bowl weekends, vacations to Cabo, river trips and so much more. We have shared many laughs and even a few tears over the years.

Thank you, Tiffany, Brittany, and Colby, for sharing your dad with us. He was so proud of all of you and we have been blessed with getting to know you all over the years.

It was obvious that what made Dan happy, was seeing that everyone else was happy and having a good time...Dan was the true definition of being Humble and Kind. We miss you and love you, Danny Boy!

I have been deeply saddened since I received the news about Dan. I feel a great loss but am also grateful to have been so lucky to have had him in my life. Dan and I were set up on a blind date by our mutual friends John and Shelley over ten years ago. He instantly won my heart with his kindness and genuine caring ways. He always made me feel good, even when times were tough. We fell in love and shared many amazing times, which have given me so many beautiful memories. It breaks my heart that he will no longer be a part of my life.

Dan always came up with ways to show he cared. One year, he surprised me with a gift that I cherish and love—my precious dog Jasper. I truly do not know what I would do without him. He means the world to me, and I will always remember Dan with Jasper by my side. Dan gave and shared his love for his family; he was a devoted father, son, brother, and friend, and had genuine love for everyone. I will forever keep Dan close to my heart. He was a very big part of my life, and I will miss him dearly.

God bless all who share love for our Dan. May his love make you smile every day.

I am at a loss for words. My heartfelt prayers are with Dan's family and all his many friends. Dan's love for life, family, and friends was strong, and we are all sharing a deep loss. I hope that through time and reading all the beautiful messages, it brings some comfort as we struggle to understand losing such a wonderful man.

Dan had an amazing gift to make you feel welcome, cared about, and important. He always had a kind word and a genuine greeting. Hearing how much he was loved by so many people and how he touched all of us with his genuine love and kindness, I feel blessed to have shared so many fun times with him.

We had a special bond because we both lived in Miami. Amazingly, when Tina introduced us, I felt like I knew him. After some time, I realized we knew each other from our high school friends. We became fast friends and had a special bond from then on. I considered Dan and Tina family, my best friends, and neighbors for the past 12 years. We did everything together, and he always made me feel welcomed.

The one thing I loved most was witnessing the love he had for Tina. He was not shy to announce it to everyone. I feel so blessed to have spent many great times and to have known him so well. I will cherish the memories forever. My deepest empathy for your loss. He was so loved by many people. Everyone adored him, and I know I did.

Love you, Dan Manning. God bless you and everyone you touched.

To my beloved neighbor and friend the news of your passing came as a total shock! Dan Manning's impact on our team in the West is nothing short of iconic. He set the tone for a culture of deep care for both people and the business. I am thankful I had the opportunity to "grow up" in the organization he led with such compassion and care.

I am heartbroken to hear about Dan. 17 years ago when I moved to Dallas to lead the Central Region I was lucky to be leading with two icons: Dan in the West and Ben in the East. Of course I knew of Dan who moved from Boston right when I started with Coke in 1992 to go West. He was a great leader and mentor then and continued to do that through his whole life. I am thankful for the times he mentored me and taught me so much about leadership. God bless you Dan.

I was so lucky the day Steve Kim introduced me to Dan and made me part of his golf world. I’ve never met a more even keeled and genuine person than Dan. Positive every time we played.
When we met my putting was a mess. One day he gently offered me advice and the way he did it I graciously accepted and became a better putter. When he saw me reverting to my old ways he had a very subtle way of getting me back on track.
Instead of feeling horrible he’s gone I’m focusing on feeling fortunate for the time I got to spend with him. He improved my life and I feel I’m a better person for having him as a friend.
I love you Dan and miss you.

I first met Dan in the early 90’s when I switched our business over to Coca-Cola. Dan represented his company so well, we remain with Coca-Cola to this day. That has a whole lot to do with Dan. Over the years we became fast friends, much more than business associates. We shared a love for sports in general and golf in particular. Like so many others, we shared some amazing experiences together. I took Dan to his first Bruce Springsteen concert (after a round of golf of course!). I was with Dan at Riviera on his 40th birthday in 1999 when I got my one and only Hole in One on the famous 6th hole. I was with Dan when he got his one and only Hole in One at Martis Camp, hole #17 in 2015 just days before his 56th birthday. Hole #17 is a par 4. After that day whenever anyone mentioned getting a hole in one, Dan would quickly ask… “was it a par 3 or a par 4???”. I could go on for days telling “Dan Manning stories”. I will just say this… I’m lucky to have known him, I appreciate and cherish all the times we shared together. I love him and I will miss him.

I met Dan in 2000 when I worked at the MGM Grand and we became fast friends over our shared love of good wine, golf, Jimmy Buffett, and Diet Coke. Anyone that had Dan in their life is a better person as a result. An incredible and disheartening coincidence, I was at Spanish Bay that night attending a different event. I didn't know Dan was there and he didn't know I was there. He loved Pebble Beach so much. We attended the 2000 US Open there and had a very memorable experience. I will always tee up one extra ball in memory of Dan every time I go back. Fins Up Dan.

Dan was so fun, always engaging enthusiastic and never shy about his love for golf and coke. I Knew him thru one of the great loves of one of my best friends Tina of 25 years for the last 10 years. Hadn’t seen him too often but recently ran into him 3 wks ago and quickly got caught up. The thrill of his life as he told myself was that he was the happiest he’d ever been as retired, golfing and having his first Christmas with his grandchild.- God bless all who knew him-he loved life and inspired others to do the same.

On December 14, the Universe chose to intertwine our paths with Dan’s one final time, granting us the profound honor of sharing his last moments at his favorite place in Pebble Beach. That day, the air was filled with laughter, stories, and a warmth that radiated from Dan’s ever-present smile.

Dan was an incredible man whose presence was as calming as the waves at Pebble Beach. In his last 45 minutes, he wasn’t just surrounded by the beauty of his favorite place—he was surrounded by love. He hugged us tightly, shared tales of his connection to this special place, and reminded us how happy he was to have reconnected with us. There was such a purity in his joy, such a sense of peace in his being, that it was both heartwarming and humbling to witness.

It’s difficult to find words for the pain of losing someone so extraordinary, but it’s equally hard to put into words the gratitude I feel for having been there with him in those moments. To hold his hand, to see his smile, to feel the depth of his love—it was an honor I will carry with me forever.

Dan Manning was more than a friend ; he was a light, a storyteller, and a man who embraced life fully. His joy was infectious, his hugs sincere, and his heart enormous. Even in his final moments, he gave us the gift of his love and laughter, a gift that I will treasure for the rest of my days.

Dan, your presence touched everyone who knew you, and your spirit will continue to live on in our hearts. Thank you for allowing us to share that sacred time with you. Rest peacefully, dear friend—you will always be loved, remembered, and celebrated.

Honored to be a part of Dan Manning's team with Food Service in the West Zone. I fondly remember when we pitched Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas together alongside Kathy Twells. His passion for our company, people, and customers were truly his priorities. Proud of my tenure with Coca-Cola and was so proud to be a part of the West as we were truly a dominant winning team under his leadership as he led by example. Rest in Peace Dan! I knew Dan through Jack in the Box. Our paths mostly crossed at our charity golf event. Truly a great man and friend.

For ten years, Dan and I shared countless rounds of golf, but more importantly, countless memories. Golf was more than just a game for us—it was a time for laughter, camaraderie, and deep conversations. His steady hand and even steadier spirit were something I admired both on and off the course. He had a way of making even the toughest days brighter, and his love for life was contagious.

I’ll always cherish the lessons he taught me, not just about golf but about kindness, humility, and friendship. Rest easy my friend. You’ll always be part of my game and my heart.

There wasn’t a kinder and more fun loving man. Their family and I were neighbors for years and even lived next door at the river. I’m thinking about all the family and your loss!

As river buddies, the late afternoon range balls to the island green, or clearing the river edge (rarely for me) was a cap to a great day on the water. When I gave Dan an apple box full of “last use” balls he couldn’t believe it. Barefoot, half drunk, cigars and loud music was the norm. Amazing the balls few at all. But they did, boy did they. As those days are strong in my mind today, not to be forgotten, Danny lives on.

Dan and I met decades ago while he was at Coke and I was at Jack in the Box. I have so many fond memories of playing golf with he and Carlos over the years. Little did we know that my son, Jake and his daughter, Brittany would meet, get married and have our beautiful Grandson Beckham. I always considered him a friend but he became family. He was a loving, kind and caring father and Grandfather. He will always have a place in our hearts.

I am completely devastated. This has been a very difficult week for me. Dan and I bonded while playing golf together at Pelican Hill Golf Club. We were members at the club for 17 years together. We didn’t play together a lot because of our work schedules, but that all changed 5 years ago when we both retired. We played golf together 4 days a week. I can’t believe I lost my great friend and golf brother. Dan was the most amazing person anyone can meet! He was "kindhearted," "generous," "vibrant," "always had a smile," and “a true friend”! My deepest condolences to the Manning Family! Wishing you all peace during this difficult time. Wherever you are Dan, I hope it looks like Pebble Beach! And that you’re hitting ‘em long and straight. Love you brother! Save me a Diet Coke! Till we meet again! Your Friend,

I feel like I've known you most of my life. We met when I was 12 and you were 10 years old. We shared 21 years of marriage and a million memories together. But the greatest thing we shared are 3 amazing children. Tiffany, Brittany and Colby. And now we have 3 amazing grandchildren, Madison, Danica and Beckham.
You would be so proud of our children right now and how they are handling the biggest loss of their lives.
I truly hope you are at peace, and I hope you took all the love that your family has for you because it will live on forever.

A few years ago, I had the pleasure of meeting Dan at Pelican Golf Course. In no time, we started playing golf 1-2 times a week. Dan was the consummate gentleman. He was always kind towards others and in control of his emotions. I nicknamed him, "The Smooth Operator." Dan's golf swing was buttery smooth. We had some great times on and off the course. Below is a photo of a post round celebration at Javier's. Dan, I will miss you. I will always cherish our wonderful times together. My sympathy to your family.

Dan was a neighbor, friend , and great businessman. I could always like vicariously through Dan and listen to his stories of playing amazing golf courses like Pebble Beach and Augusta National. Suzette and I spent time at his house in Hidden Valley where he made these huge cocktails in Coca Cola cups …. Playing Jimmy Buffett and Kenny Chesney. He made me a copy of Buffetts License to Chill which I still have to this day. Rest in peace.

Danny Manning was one of the best!! Wow, from the countless high level business conversations to battles throwing shoes, my fondest memory was him telling me to always be a present parent! He was adamant that I paid attention to this incredible advice! My funniest story is that before he made Candice switch from Pepsi to Coke, no joke, he came over and asked for a Capitan Morgan Coke and all we had was Pepsi! He came over to fridge and so ok pour a little in there but never tell anyone we did this! He was serious, haha The Holmans pass our love to all the family and friends…

Dan was my best friend. The following can’t express my loss and everyone who knew him loss. We met in 1992 as neighbors. Our families became like one. We vacation together, we off-roaded together. We boated together and even had vacation home next to each other. Dan always called me for help and I did the same. He’s was like a brother to me. I moved out of state, but we spoke weekly. Like I said he was a best friend and I’ll miss him.
