Comfort Aruosa-Osemwegie (nee Jumbo) February 8, 1976 — June 17, 2026

Mrs. Comfort Aruosa-Osemwegie passed from death into life on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, Lagos, following a period of illness. Though her earthly journey has ended, her light lives on in the hearts and lives of everyone she touched.

A LIFE ROOTED IN FAITH
Comfort's story cannot be told without first telling the story of her faith. From her youth, she cultivated a deep and personal relationship with God, one that was not for show but the quiet, steady foundation beneath everything she did. It shaped how she lived, the career and business choices she made, and even how she acted in the face of a deadly disease. Like Abraham, she believed God. She was, at her core, a Christ-lover, prayerful, humble, passionate, warm, and selfless, too.

WIFE, MOTHER, AND HOME-BUILDER
Comfort was a devoted wife and proud mother to her two teenage daughters, Marvel and Divine, as well as a loving mother figure to many adopted daughters and sisters. Her kitchen, home, and heart were always open, and over the years, she welcomed many with warmth, care, guidance, and a genuine sense of belonging.

A MENTOR, AN ADVISOR, A HAND TO HOLD 
Comfort poured herself into the lives and businesses of others, especially women, girls, entrepreneurs, start-ups, and investors. She had a gift for guidance: patient, practical, and always rooted in genuine care. Whether someone needed advice on a start-up or investment idea, encouragement through a difficult season, or simply a listening ear, Comfort made time. She didn't just advise from a distance; she walked alongside people, held their hands through uncertainty, and celebrated their wins as though they were her own.

Through her entrepreneurial and advisory ventures — including CAO Partners, the Venture Capital & Private Equity Academy, and DealRoom Nigeria — as well as her volunteer service with the Daystar Business Community and Daystar Career Development Program, Comfort touched countless lives through training, seminars, consulting, mentorship, and professional guidance.

Comfort’s life was a precious gift, generously shared with so many. Though deeply missed, her faith, love, warmth, and impact will continue to speak through the lives she transformed.
