Obituary
Cole Michael Scott, 18, rode into the loving arms of our Lord on Sept. 13, 2024, after his motorcycle collided with a calf in Joseph, Oregon.
Cole was born in Wenatchee, Washington, on Aug. 26, 2006, to Robert and Kimberly (Hescock) Scott of La Grande, Oregon. In 2013, the family moved to La Grande, where he was homeschooled before attending Enterprise Adventist School and La Grande Adventist School. Cole was currently attending Joseph High School, where he was set to graduate in 2025.
From the moment he came into our lives, Cole filled our hearts and home with love, laughter, and immeasurable joy. With each passing year, he grew into a remarkable young man full of dreams and ambitions, achieving his goals.
By 18, Cole had worked for the City of Joseph and was currently employed by the U.S. Forest Service. However, his biggest accomplishment, and the one he was most proud of, was his successful auto detailing business. He saw a need in the community for auto detailing and did his best to help fill that need.
Cole was well known for his likable personality, infectious smile, gentle soul, and dedication to hard work—a testimony to his profound impact on those blessed to know him.
Cole enjoyed spending time with his sisters, LeAnna and Rylee Scott, his brother, Dalton Scott, his friends, and his beloved dog, Callie. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working out, energy drinks, Nerds gummy candy, Taco Bell, and nice watches. Recently, he joined a youth group and even began singing in their choir. His search for a relationship with Christ was important to him. Cole is no longer searching; he is now home with Christ.
His laughter once filled our home—a melody that will forever resonate in our hearts and live in our memories. Cole is survived by his parents, Roberts and Kimberly Scott; his brother, Dalton Scott; his sisters, LeAnna and Rylee Scott; as well as other family members and many close friends. Cole was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Keith Hescock and Bob Scott.
A service will be held at 4 p.m. on Oct. 6 at Christ Covenant Church in Lostine, Oregon (723 College St.). A potluck will follow.
