We really enjoyed Chuck! He had a great love for the Lord and a wonderful, steadfast servant's heart. He ushered here in Ocean Grove for Bible Hour and he met with Men's Bible Study to encourage new believers. May we meet again at the feet of Jesus!

I’m not sure what to say. I’m so glad I got to spend time with you Saturday. You were yourself to the end, and I love you.

If I could magically add another five years to your 60’s or 70’s, I would. I don’t think adding 92-97 would have been a favor though.

You were both a great grandpa and a great-grandpa, and you will be missed.

All the hugs.

It was always so nice to have Chuck and Marcia worship with Kay and Bob and us at Grace. I also recall a wonderful gathering some of us had at the beach in Ocean Grove and your parents welcoming us into their home. Such a kind and unassuming man Chuck Hendron was, and a man of faith.

Uncle Chuck was a fair and respectful man. Ed always enjoyed time they had together.

Chuck was the most honest person I have known. He responded to others cares with thoughtfulness and love. He made me a better man.

I remember Sunday afternoons, between worship and Mom's wonderful roast beef dinner, Dad taught Charlotte and me to play baseball in our front yard. He did not teach us to work hard to make the team. This was before Title IX. He taught us to throw and catch like men and to watch the arc of the ball and move where we needed to be to catch it with both hands. He taught us the rhythm of it and the grace. Those games were about enjoying each other and enjoying our days of rest.
