Obituary

Charles Daniel, “Danny”, Brooks, 18, of Pensacola, FL passed away on September 16, 2025 in Atoka, OK. Danny was an avid skateboarder, runner, surfer, rollerblader, fisherman, snake lover and competed in track and field while formerly attending West Florida High School. Danny's favorite event—the 5K—earned him a personal best of 18:40 and his 3200M time of 11:15 had him actively being pursued by the University of Alabama’s track and field program. 

Danny was known for making his friends laugh, enjoying the moment and had a huge passion for appliance repair having spent years working alongside his family in their appliance repair business. Danny also loved Marvel movies, Star Wars, Animal Kingdom, PlayStation, XBox, hanging and going to church with friends and his favorite superhero —the Punisher—reflected his bold, loyal spirit. Danny loved his birthplace of Dallas, TX, the beaches and his friends in Pensacola, FL, the Cajun food of Lafayette, LA and the wide open space of Atoka, OK where he spent time helping his Grandfather on the family homestead..

Danny was a Christian, had a big heart and leaves behind many family and friends who cared for him greatly. This page is dedicated to his legacy and memory that will live on with the lives he impacted in his brief time here on Earth. Those who touch our lives, stay in our hearts forever; you will be missed dearly, but never forgotten. Fly high.
