In Loving Memory of Castro

Our beloved Castro was an amazing little boy who had a way of making the world around him brighter simply by being in it.

He was loving, funny, caring, incredibly protective, and, without a doubt, the life of the party. Every time Castro walked into a room, he had a way of lighting it up and putting a smile on everyone’s face. His presence was impossible to ignore. He was full of energy, personality, and love, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him carries a piece of him in their hearts.

Castro came into our family when he was just five and a half years old, and from that moment on, he changed our lives forever. The moment he walked through our doors, we knew he would be with us forever. On October 10, 2024, we officially became his family.

Throughout his short life, Castro overcame so many obstacles, yet had a remarkable way of finding joy in life, and we made the most of every moment we were given.

His life may have been far too short, but it was not without meaning. He left an impact on everyone who knew him. He was the kind of child people remembered the kind who could walk into a room and immediately become the center of attention, make people laugh, demand attention, and somehow make you love him before you even realized it was happening.

We would give anything for one more laugh. One more hug. One more silly moment. One more chance to hear his voice. One more opportunity to tell him how much we love him.

But until that day comes, we will carry him with us.

In the stories we tell.
In the memories we share.
In the laughter he left behind.
In the love he gave so freely.
And in the hearts of every person whose life he touched.

You were here for far too short a time, but the love you left behind will last forever.

This memorial is a place for us to remember Castro exactly as he was—to celebrate his life, share our memories, tell our stories, and keep his beautiful spirit alive. We hope that everyone who visits this page will feel the love, laughter, and incredible energy that Castro brought into the world.

Thank you sincerely for your love, support, kindness, and for standing beside our family during this unimaginable time. Every message, memory, prayer, and act of kindness means more to us than words can express. We are forever grateful to each and every person who has helped carry us through this loss.

When I moved to Carely Ave, I kinda got to know Castro more. He had overheard that I wanted to learn to ride a motorcycle. Felicia said she'd show me on her bike. Well...one day...I was asleep during day bc I work 3rd shift. There was a knock on door...a persistent knock...a loud knocking...I just laid there like whatever. Than...the knocking began on my porch door...persistent still. I looked outside and all I could see was a child's bike. I said, maybe it's the girl from the day before trying to sell me another bracelet. I went and laid back down. The back door now had a persistent knocking. I'm like, what the heck. Yet, I still ignored it. A couple days later I was telling Felicia about it. She laughed. So did Castro. Funny thing...it had been Castro knocking. He told Felicia he was knocking on my doors to get me to come out and ride his mom's motorcycle. I laugh now but I felt bad at the moment. He was so persistent with the knocking. I told him, hey buddy I'm sorry but I work nights. So I sleep during day. I said I looked outside and only saw a bike. I assumed Maya, another girl on street, was coming back to sell me a bracelet and i was tired and didn't want to answer the door. But...sitting here today...I wish I would've answered the door bc I can only imagine how he would've asked me to come outside and with a big smile. Lol. Me and Felicia laughed. Fyi I never tried to ride the motorcycle.
RIP Castro. Your family and sisters miss you lots!!
