Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day.
Obituary
Carol Scrimo
September 3, 1947 – October 6, 2026
Carol Scrimo, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, at the age of 79, surrounded by the love of her family.
Carol was born on September 3, 1947, in New York, where she spent many of her early years and began the journey that would shape the remarkable life she would go on to live. New York remained an important part of her story, but her greatest adventure began when she met the man who would become the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Scrimo.
Carol and Bob were married in 1969 and began a life together built on love, family, laughter, and an enduring partnership. Together they raised two sons, Robert and Arthur, and created a home filled with the memories and experiences that would remain with their family forever.
Carol and Bob shared more than five decades together. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary before Bob passed away in 2020. Their marriage was a testament to the kind of love that grows deeper through the years—not simply a partnership, but a bond between two people who truly were soulmates.
After Bob’s passing, Carol carried his memory with her every day. She missed him deeply, and those who knew her understood how much she looked forward to the day they would be together again.
Carol was a woman who loved her family fiercely. Her two sons, Robert and Arthur, were among the greatest joys of her life, and she was especially devoted to her granddaughter, whom she absolutely adored. Being a grandmother gave Carol another opportunity to love, laugh, encourage, and spoil someone she held incredibly close to her heart.
Those who knew Carol will remember many things about her, but perhaps most of all they will remember her personality. She had a way of finding humor even when life was difficult. She could joke, laugh, and make light of a situation when others might have struggled to find a reason to smile. That spirit stayed with her until the very end.
Even as she approached the final moments of her life, Carol continued to be Carol—joking, laughing, and making light of the situation around her. She faced the end with the same strength, humor, and personality that had defined her throughout her life.
And then, after a life filled with love, family, laughter, and memories, Carol crossed over to the person she had been missing for six years.
She went home to Bob.
Carol is survived by her two sons, Robert and Arthur, her beloved granddaughter, and the many family members and friends whose lives she touched throughout her 79 years.
While the loss of Carol leaves an enormous emptiness in the lives of those who loved her, her family takes comfort in knowing that she is no longer missing the man she loved for more than 50 years. She and Bob are together again.
Her family will remember her laughter, her humor, her strength, her love, and the countless moments that made her uniquely Carol. Her memory will live on in her children, her granddaughter, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
Carol lived her life with love, she faced its hardest moments with courage and humor, and she left this world surrounded by the people who loved her.
Good speed, Mom.
Give Dad a hug for all of us.
We love you, and we will miss you forever.
