I was in shock that my friend Carlos has pass away. As we had communicated not to long ago. My prayers go out to his family and friends. He was trail blazer in business transaction and his heart with helping people. He helped me out with my insurance and was great person overall to chat with and hangout. I will always remember his smile and tone of his voice. Rest easy my friend!

My wife and I were at an outdoor event in a steamy hot day. We weren't prepared. We had no water or ice. It was near Carlos' home. He saw us and came over to speak. He left and came back with water and ice. He was that type of dude. Caring and always willing to help. Miss ya brother.

I could spend a whole year writing about my friend. Carlos aka Sidekick as we called each other. I remember when he called me to tell me he had been diagnosed. He said, I was one of the first he was to call. It was amazing how he told a joke about his treatment. Little did he know tears was running down my face. I told him every good hero has a sidekick, and I became sidekick. Each time I would discover a new restaurant, I would call him and say, sidekick meet me there, you’re going to love this place. We didn’t get to make it to the fish place, Carlos you would have loved this place. I’m going to miss my sidekick. Save me a seat at the new restaurant you found, I can’t wait to enjoy the meal there. Love you my dear friend. It has been a pleasure going through life with you.

Mr. Coleman and I met online when I was taking my students on a college tour in Atlanta and wanted to visit The Tupac Amaru Shakur Center for the Arts. He was very helpful and insightful in organizing the tour. His energy was unforgettable, and my students remember it to this day. He will be truly missed. Rest easy, my friend.
