Transitioned Career to Focus on Nonprofit Fundraising Events
Carla leveraged her storytelling talents, and design and logistical skills, to produce fundraising events for various nonprofit causes.
She began working almost exclusively with a nonprofit consulting group, run by one of her former clients, Ida Somero, with whom she nurtured a lifelong friendship.

Over the course of her career, Carla helped raise over $20 million dollars for incredible causes.

Completed her National Park Journey
Completed all 419 units that were part of the national park system as of 2020.
A journey that took just over 4 years, and 50 separate trips to complete.
Through this grand adventure, Carla turned the despair of a life-changing diagnosis into a journey of gratitude and hope, as it allowed her to measure life not in days, but in moments of awe.

Carla is now at peace with her Heavenly Father. Reunited with her father, grandparents, and loved ones gone before her, she has set off on her next adventure.
