The deeds you do for yourself are gone, but the deeds you do for others remain as your legacy.
Obituary
Cyrus James "Jim" Warren Jr, a dedicated family man who was loved by all who knew him, passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 83, surrounded by his wife and daughters.
Born on May 7, 1941 in McNary, Arizona, Jim lived a full life marked by his unwavering commitment to family and a passion for hunting, golf, wildlife conservation, real estate, and community involvement. He took great pride in watching his two daughters and six beautiful grandchildren grow and prosper.
After graduating from high school (Valley High School class of 1959) and college (University of New Mexico class of 1965), Jim began his career as a middle school math teacher in Albuquerque followed by one year as a high school math teacher in Kearny, Arizona. In 1970, Jim entered the real estate business in Tucson where he began his lifelong career. During his 54 years in real estate, he served on various local and national boards and received countless awards for his achievements. He lived and worked in Tucson for nearly 40 years before returning to the White Mountains, near his birthplace and the region he loved, where he and Chris spent the last 15 years continuing their real estate career.
Perhaps one of Jim’s greatest joys was sharing his love of hunting and the outdoors with others. He was proud to teach Chris to hunt and the times they spent on annual hunting/camping trips with his brother-in-law, Ralph, son-in-law, Kevin, and close friends were among Jim's fondest memories. His desire to help others was a cornerstone of his personality and leaves a lasting legacy, as he inspired countless men, women, and youth to embrace his passion of turkey hunting and the Arizona wilderness. He had a profound impact on all who knew him and that legacy will live on for generations to come.
He is survived by his wife, Chris; two daughters, Amy (Kevin) Bernd, and Katie (Jeff) Chaignot; grandchildren, Ryan, Noah, Aidric, Ezra, Ayla, and Tyler; brother and sister, John (DJ) Warren, and Sally (Jack) Curro; brother-in-law, Ralph Nota; stepson, John Kaputa. A memorial service and reception will be held on December 7, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Show Low Elks Lodge in Show Low, Arizona.
Rest in peace, Old Gobbler.

I loved his sense of humor and his zeal for golf, hunting and fishing, in which he always encouraged me. (The last time we went fishing at Wilson Lake (named for our uncle Dick), I caught more than him, which never ever happened! 🤔)
I loved his loyalty to his family and to his many many friends. He was such a good big brother.
