Beloved brothers and sisters, we want you to be quite certain about the truth concerning those who have passed away, so that you won't be overwhelmed with grief like many others who have no hope. 1 Thessalonians 4:13 (TPT)

Obituary

Oluwabusolami (Buzz) Temiloluwa Agbaje (née Duro-Emanuel), born on 29 July 1995, sadly passed away on 27 August 2026 at the age of 31. Whilst her time with us was far too brief, Busola left an incredible and lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her, from her family to her friends and colleagues.

Buzz was known for her unwavering kindness, infectious joy and vivacious spirit. She lived boldly and fearlessly, with a deep gratitude for the life God had blessed her with, embracing every moment with purpose and joy. Her appreciation for life manifested in her ever-smiling disposition and in the intentional way she loved her people — loudly, deeply and unapologetically.

She lived a life devoted to the Lord, honouring God faithfully in every aspect of her being. Her commitment to serving in church, along with the quiet yet powerful evangelism she embodied in her day-to-day life, was a beautiful reflection of her faith.

Busola studied Economics and International Relations at Lancaster University, graduating in 2016. It was also during her university years that she met Tobi, who would go on to become the love of her life and her husband. Their relationship was rooted in love, friendship, faith and a deep commitment to one another.

Busola also built a career marked by ambition, excellence and an enduring desire to make an impact. She spent several years at EY in London before continuing her career at J.P. Morgan, where she most recently served as Chief of Staff within the Employee Platforms team. Just as she did in her personal life, Busola brought energy, warmth and purpose to her work, forming meaningful relationships with the colleagues she met along the way.

Throughout her life, she remained a devoted and loving daughter to her parents, a cherished wife to Tobi, and a treasured friend to many, with each friendship carrying its own unique and special bond. Each person will miss her sorely for the light she brought into every room and into every life she touched.

We remain grateful to God for every moment of her life and every memory made. Though her time with us was far shorter than we could ever have wished, the love she gave, the joy she shared, the faith she lived and the lives she touched will endure. Her spirit lives on in all those she leaves behind.
