Budd Riker of Laguna Niguel, California, passed away peacefully on June 12, 2024, at the age of 70. Born on June 5, 1954, Budd leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and a passion for the ocean that touched all who knew him. His presence and influence will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A devoted husband to Rosemary and a loving father, Budd is survived by his spouse, their children Devin and Nicole, and his granddaughters, Grace, Mia and Clare. As a grandfather, Budd was simply incredible. His girls were the light of his life, and he poured his endless love, energy, and time into nurturing and bonding with them. His family fondly recalls his gentle guidance, his unwavering support, and his remarkable ability to make each moment special.
Budd’s love for the ocean was unparalleled. Whether diving into the depths of the sea or simply enjoying the tranquil beauty of the shoreline, the ocean was his sanctuary. Budd’s love of diving took him all over the world, he was always eager to explore new places creating memories and friendships around the globe. In addition to his love of the ocean, was his passion to capture both the beauty of the ocean and all nature through his photography. His family and friends will cherish innumerable images that he captured of Earth's wonders.
A gathering to honor Budd’s life will be held on July 19, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Ole Hanson Beach Club. It will be a time for friends and family to come together, celebrate his remarkable life, and share in memories of an extraordinary man who touched so many lives
Budd’s warmth, kindness and gentle spirit will be deeply missed but forever remembered by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched. He leaves behind a brighter world for having been in it
