Bruce was the best -- always easygoing & friendly with a smile! You could sure count on him to lift your spirits. I attended 1st grade w/ him at a little, red school house – an annex of Fort Hill Elementary. We learned to read & paste together.

Years later, I saw Bruce in Kroger’s with his young daughter, about our age when starting school. He was just beaming & thrilled to show her off. My condolences to all of the Fowler Family. He was a prince!

Bruce and I went to school together from grade school through high school and then at Fairmont and WVU. After college we formed Mountain Screenprint and silkscreened T-shirts with Bruce’s art and other local artists at craft show and bluegrass festivals throughout WV and surrounding states. After I moved from WV out west, we stayed in touch and talked as recently as earlier this year. His sudden departure was a shock and the world lost a caring person with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed. Sincere condolences to his family.

Worked for awhile at the Harley shop in South Charleston. I enjoyed working with him and Bill Hoffman who left us years earlier. He went to get a motorcycle club started that I’m sure Bruce will be a member again like he was in life. Two better friends you couldn’t ask for. I will join the club in the next life even if I didn’t in this one. Love you brothers.

I knew Bruce through church. grade school, Jr. High and High School. We reconnected when he returned from Fairmont State to Charleston. He was a wonderful and genuine soul. He was also very fair-minded, with a good sense of humor and, he took the side of the underdog, always rejecting arrogant people and bullies. I had not been fortunate enough to have visited with Bruce for years, but that happens with old friends-all too often into adulthood - as routinely, we follow separate lives. I offer my sincere condolences to all his surviving family members and close friends.

We were so sorry to hear of Bruce’s sudden passing. Words can never soothe the ache in our soul that is left when a dear one departs, but please know all of you are near and dear to us. We will miss Bruce, but know each of you is a living testament to the kind of man he was.
