Dad, you were kind, generous, caring, honest, strong, hard working, self-motivated loyal, cheerful, fair, selfless, modest and fun.
Ths partnership you had with and the way you loved first Mum and then Agnes was inspirational to watch.
You will be greatly missed. I will miss you and be ever grateful for a wonderful childhood and your love and support since.

Some of my favourite memories with you, Pa. When you'd call out to a room full of your grandchildren, "Everybody happy? (Yes, Pa) Nobody downhearted? (No, Pa)" You always had a big smile on your face having all of your family together and your grandchildren having fun together.
I loved when we were a little older and you would be Santa with your Santa hat passing out the 'Secret Santa' gifts. You'd swap your gift with any grandchild who asked no matter what they had to offer.
Your generosity with us all giving us a special envelope and saying over and over, "don't lose it, keep it safe".
My boys loved seeing their Great-Grandpa and hearing all about the Foster Tigers. In the last few years, they've really loved meeting up at the pub for dinner with you and Oma and having a bowl of ice cream with you.
We love you and miss you so much.
Thank you, Pa.

Sad news indeed; albeit, a very good innings, of a life well lived! x Same age as my dad x Just, a lovely fellow!.... Always up for a chinwag and joke x Don't make 'em like Bill anymore.... 40 years ago I bought a farm up Mount Best. Fourteen years ago I moved onto another farm up Foster North; mile up the highway from Foster town. About four years after my move, outside Foster Post Office, Bill asks me,"How's life treating you up the Mount?".... I say,"Haven't been up there for a few years Bill!..." "Where are you at now?" he inquired. When I told him; he went quiet for a moment; then, smiled.... "That's my old place with mum and dad!" he said. "Come and visit Mate; and reminisce! Any old time".... NEXT DAY!... Bill turns up x... As he looked around, he traveled back down memory lane, to his childhood x "When dad came back from the war(Jack; WW1); we first lived up at O'Grady's Ridge; where I also went to school. After a while; we moved here (my home)" Inside the house (not changed much!), more memories cascaded out x Out the back; Bill gets really excited!..."All these (BIG!) Cyprus trees!...MUM planted all of them!".... "Yeh, right!" say I...;"Too bloody close to the house!".... And Bill:;"Yep! That's what I said to mum at the time!"... "Oh yeh?" I reply...;"What was the response with That comment?".... "Well; says Bill...; "I got a clip behind the ear, didn't I!..." (back Then; one Didn't question the grown-ups!)... xox.... From Foster North; Bill's family moved on down the Prom Road. x Bill revisited; giving me more of "the good oil"; the living history of my home and surrounds x Which; just made me appreciate where I am bloody lucky to be! Thank You for your friendship Bill! Thank You; simply, for, having been You! x Condolences to ALL the family! RIP Bill! x

Just before the First World War Bill's father left his home at Maescadlawr Farm near Llangynwyd in Wales to travel to Australia . He kept in touch with his family(who had moved to Tynycaeau Farm , Marcross ) . Bill has maintained the links and made them stronger with his children and grandchildren travelling to Wales , and providing a really warm welcome to any of the Welsh relations ( and there were many !!!! ) who travelled to Foster . It's been a a privilege for the family members from Wales to meet Bill and his family in Australia, and an honour to welcome and host him and his family in Wales . Bill , rest in peace after a life well lived

Rest easy, Pa 💛
I’ll miss you. I used to be so proud calling you about my job updates and telling you about our travels. You were always so supportive. I remember at our post wedding event and my 30th, proudly introducing you to my friends and in-laws... it meant so much having you and Agnes there with us. I don’t have many more words, but the legacy you’ve left has touched so many lives.
Love always, Andrew and Mel 🤍

Our sincere condolences to all the Davies family and Dear Agnes.
Bill was a long time friend of the Williams family, since 1935.
He was such a warm, generous person and crossed paths with the Williams boys, Reg, Allan, Russell & Howard and their mother Mary (Williams) Somers, over many farming and Foster activities. He was a loyal, very valued friend, always up for a chat and laugh, sharing many happy memories. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Pa, I’ll always remember how much you cared, how you took such a genuine interest in everything I did. Your jokes could light up any room, and your laughter was unlike anyone else’s. You were so selfless, always putting others before yourself and making everyone around you feel special.
I miss you deeply, but I will always look back at memories with you with great fondness.

“Ah right.” Dear Bill, no one paired a raised eyebrow with a wry smile quite like you. The kids will remember the Cadbury Favorites, but you gave us so, so much more. I’ll forever be grateful for your devotion to Mum, and for the way you gently and selflessly steadied our family into calmer waters. You’re one of a kind, Bill, and will be much missed.
