Your sudden death came as a shock. We did not expect it and wish we had more time to continue to appreciate you. However God in His infinite wisdom knows best.

You were a pillar of support throughout the years for my mother, her one and only brother and we all loved you dearly.

May Our Lord comfort and sustain your family, your wife and children now and always. Death cannot be a person's end if he can live on in those who have been left behind because our bodies are only wilted leaves on the tree of life. R.I.P Uncle.

From the time I was picked up by you & mum in your Volkswagen car when I arrived Nigeria as a kid for the very first time till the day i left, all i saw was a family man who did all he possibly could to make the lives of those around him better. Providing essential resources from financial to good counsel, an act of one who strongly desires to see people move forward in life, a selfless man who wants all to arise and be, a generous giver who was a springboard for many to succeed.
My uncle-in-law whom i called daddy; thank you for your love, kindness and care.
We'll remember and tell the kids what it means to be a true
helper and lifter of people. As
we celebrate your legacy, rest
in perfect peace.

I’m deeply honored to write a tribute to my dad, a man whose presence and love shaped my life in ways words can hardly capture. He was more than just a father; he was my guide, my teacher, my steady anchor through life’s storms. His kindness, wisdom, and strength left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Dad taught me about integrity—not just through words but through his actions. He showed me what it meant to be honest, to work hard, and to treat everyone with respect. His values were simple but profound, guiding me every day. I learned from him that true strength is quiet, not boastful, and that resilience is found in patience and kindness.

He had a way of making everyone feel seen and heard. No matter what he was dealing with, he would listen wholeheartedly and offer his advice or just a reassuring presence. In his company, people felt understood and valued. His generosity, both with his time and his heart, was limitless.

Some of my best memories are of the time we spent together—simple moments that have now become treasures. Whether we were laughing over a shared joke, working side by side, or even just sitting in comfortable silence, these moments are now precious memories, pieces of him that I’ll hold onto forever.

His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his legacy lives on. I see him in the choices I make, the kindness I try to show, and the strength I try to find within myself. Though he may no longer be here in person, I feel his presence every day, guiding me and reminding me to be the best version of myself.

Dad, thank you for everything. Thank you for your love, your wisdom, and your unwavering support. I miss you beyond words, but I know that you’re watching over us..I promise to carry forward all that you taught me, keeping your spirit alive in everything I do. You were, and always will be, my hero.

From your loving daughter,
Buge Buge.

Tribute to my brother, Deputy Comptroller Edun B.A

The goodness of a man does not lie in the amount of fortunes he is able to acquire in his life, neither is it in the number of material possessions he acquired therein. A man’s greatness lies in the number of lives he is able to positively impact.

Your sudden death came to me as a rude shock. My brother Ben, you have fought a good fight, finished your course, and also kept the faith. You are not dead but only transited unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of Angels. Also to the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which is written in heaven, to God the Judge of all, and the spirit of just men made perfect.

Glory to God as we also hope of meeting you on the resurrection day.

Today, I celebrate the life of a man who was my everything. My father was more than just a parent; he was my mentor, confidante, and greatest supporter. His love was a constant in my life, and his wisdom has shaped me into who I am today. His laughter, advice, and quiet strength will forever resonate in my heart.

Though he has gone to be with the Lord, I find solace in knowing that his spirit lives on through the lessons he taught me and the love he generously shared. I will miss him sincerely every day, but I am grateful for every moment we shared every smile, and every conversation. His legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering faith is something I will always carry with me.
Rest in peace, Dad. Until we meet again, I will hold you in my heart.

How does one begin to eulogize a man as kind, gracious, and loving as my dear in-law, Mr. Benjamin Edun?

The day I received the news of his passing was one of the darkest days of my life. It was a shock that left me shaken, with tears that came from a place I could not explain. We will miss you deeply, Mr. Edun. Though we love you dearly, we know that God loves you more.

You will remain in our hearts and memories always, until that blessed day of resurrection when we meet again, never to part.

Rest in peace, Mr. Edun.
