Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife, and friend, Barbara Baccus-Acosta. She left this world peacefully at a hospice center in Vancouver, WA, surrounded by her children and her husband, Ron.

Born in 1951 in Evergreen Park, IL, and after losing her father at age 13, Barbara grew up in South Pasadena, CA. She was a strong, independent woman who loved her family deeply. She had her first children, Chris and Billy, in California before moving to Oregon, where she raised them and later welcomed her daughter, Michelle. Following her divorce, she returned to California, where she enjoyed connecting with friends, dining out, and being active with the South Pasadena High School alumni association.

Despite a recent challenging health journey, her laughter and warmth remained ever-present. She will be deeply missed by her children, Michelle, Billy, and Chris; her husband Ron; her dog Shadow; her grandchildren; and everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her life was filled with love, resilience, and joy. She is now at peace and forever in our hearts.

I always enjoyed talking to your mom about her family and activities. She was so proud of her children and very personable. She always updating me on South Pasadena HS alumni activities. May she rest in peace.
