Apostle Hezekiah Abiodun Olusoba Ayansola

To live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.
Obituary
With hearts bowed in humble acceptance of God's sovereign will, the family of Apostle Hezekiah Abiodun Olusoba Ayansola, announces the glorious home-going of our beloved General Overseer of Salvation Holy Spirit Gospel Church and Ministries- a devoted father, shepherd, and servant of the Most High God.
Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants. - Psalm 116:15
Apostle Hezekiah Abiodun Olusoba Ayansola, born on December 25, 1953, peacefully departed this life on May 15, 2026, at the age of 72.
A cherished husband to Deaconess Cecilia Oluwakemi Ayansola, Apostle Ayansola profoundly impacted many through his unwavering faith, sincere prayers, and steadfast commitment to his divine calling. Known for his warm humor, compassionate heart, and dedication to both family and community, he touched countless lives.
Those who knew him will forever remember his passionate prayers and unshakable trust in God. Through encouraging words, generous deeds, and joyful moments, Apostle Ayansola consistently showed kindness and compassion to all. His devotion to loved ones and those in need left a lasting legacy, inspiring all who had the honor to walk alongside him.
A loving and faithful servant of God, he dedicated his life to spreading the Gospel, enriching many through his ministry, wisdom, and steadfast faith. While we grieve the loss of a pillar in our family and church, we also celebrate the enduring legacy of grace he leaves behind. His memory will forever live in our hearts.
The legacy of Apostle Hezekiah Ayansola—marked by faith, love, and service—will be treasured by all who knew and loved him. Though he has gone, the impact of his life resonates deeply in the hearts of his congregation, his family, and the countless souls transformed by his ministry. His life was wholly devoted to God, and in that devotion, it became greater than anything he could have achieved alone.
He ran his race. He kept his faith. He finished well. And on that eternal day, we are confident he heard the words every servant of God longs to hear: “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”
Timeline
For fifteen years, he waited. But God, in His infinite patience and perfect timing, would not be denied. On September 18, 1993, he fully surrendered, joining the Miracle Ground Evangelistic Ministry and stepping decisively into the life he was always meant to live. Those years of preparation were not lost; they became the fertile ground where his ministry would flourish.
What set Daddy apart as a leader was not the grandeur of title, but the sincerity of his heart. In a world often driven by the pursuit of recognition, he chose not to be called “Founder” of the church. To him, the ministry was not his own creation but God’s work entrusted to his care. He always saw himself as a humble instrument in the hands of the Almighty, a vessel through which grace could flow to others.

Your legacies live on in your physical and spiritual children!
Thank you, Daddy, the seed you have planted in our lives will grow and yield fruit that will make you proud.
We won't stop the assignment of living a godly life and bringing people into the marvelous light of Christ.
We love you, Daddy.
He dedicated his life to the service of God and humanity. His unwavering commitment to the gospel, his passion for people, and his steadfast faith were evident in every aspect of his life. He was not only a preacher of God's Word but also a living example of the values he taught. Through his actions, he demonstrated integrity, compassion, discipline, and a deep love for others.
As a father, he was my greatest source of inspiration. His counsel guided me through life's challenges, his prayers strengthened me in difficult times, and his example taught me the importance of character, perseverance, and faith in God. He believed in nurturing not only his family but also everyone privileged to come under his influence.
His legacy extends far beyond the lives of those closest to him. The people he encouraged, the hearts he touched, and the countless individuals he uplifted stand as enduring testimonies of a life well lived. He showed us that true greatness is found in serving others and walking faithfully with God.
Though words cannot fully express the depth of my gratitude and admiration, I find comfort in knowing that his impact will continue to live on in the hearts of many. The values he instilled, the lessons he taught, and the faith he exemplified will remain with us for generations to come.
Dad, thank you for being a loving father, a faithful servant of God, and a shining example to so many. Your life was a blessing, your memory is a treasure, and your legacy will never be forgotten.
Rest in the eternal peace of our Lord and Savior. Until we meet again, your love, teachings, and example will continue to guide us.
Forever loved, deeply missed, and eternally honored.
O.V.J

God has used him and the ministry for us several times.
Until death, he was a good father to all.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
You were not just a leader to me daddy, you were a father figure whose guidance, kindness, and faith left a lasting mark on my heart. Even in your absence, the lessons you taught, the prayers you offered, and the impact you made continue to live on in us. I miss you deeply. There are moments I wish I could still hear your voice, receive your counsel, and simply see your smile again. But I find comfort knowing that your legacy of faith, humility, and love will never fade.
I just want to say thank you for every sacrifice, every encouragement, and every life you touched. Heaven gained a great servant, but our hearts still feel the emptiness of your absence Grandpa 😭💔.
May your soul continue to rest in perfect peace. You will forever be remembered, honored, and loved. 🕊️🥺

You live a sacrifice life
You live a humble life.
You are a sanctified man of God,
May you rest in the right hand of the lord
It was so painful to have an anointed one like you gone😭😭😭

Daddy, as i fondly called him, was more than a general overseer. He was a father to every child who walked through those doors. I remember how he made sure we all had our Bibles open and our Heart of Man in hand, never treating us as too young to encounter God. He gave us listening ears when the world might have overlooked us, and in doing so, planted seeds of faith that have never stopped growing.
He had a gift for lifting the spirit whether through a well-timed joke, a song, or a hymn that met you exactly where you were. During Bible study, he would call on the children to read aloud, not because he had no one else, but because he believed in us. That belief shaped us. Every life that passed through the church carries a piece of him, and the men and women we have become in Christ today are, in no small part, a testament to his faithfulness. Rest well, Daddy. Your work endures.

One thing that stands out about him is how intentional he was about seeing me grow in Christ. Some of my earliest memories are of him making sure we all read The Heart of Man, not just reading it casually but understanding it deeply and living by its lessons. I also remember attending choir rehearsals where he constantly taught us new hymns, always encouraging us to improve, grow, and never become repetitive.
Daddy was compassionate, calm, and full of wisdom. Even when he corrected me, he did it with so much love that you left feeling guided instead of condemned. He was a great listener and a true builder of lives. Every single time he saw me, he smiled warmly and always spoke words of prayer over my life.
I promise you, Daddy had one of the most beautiful smiles ever. His smile radiated joy, comfort, peace, and love in such a genuine way that anyone around him could feel it.
His doors were always open, his heart was always warm, and his counsel always came with wisdom and compassion. Even in difficult moments, he carried hope and encouraged others to remain steadfast in faith.
Thank you, Daddy, for your prayers, your sacrifices, your guidance, and for being such a shining example of Christ. Your impact will continue to live in the hearts and lives of so many of us.
Though our hearts ache deeply, our consolation is that you are resting in Christ, safe in the arms of the Lord you served faithfully all your life.
I honor and celebrate you deeply,
Boluwatife Famakinwa.

Thank you for the blessed, impactful, and gracious impartation you had in my life. I pray that God will help me to live by your teachings and guide me to the glorious home.
You were a great listener and a true builder. I will always cherish the moments I spent interpreting your sermons,it was an honor I will never forget. Thank you for everything you did for my family; my story will never be complete without mentioning your impact.
Our only consolation is that you are now with the angels, resting in the place Christ has prepared for you. You ran your race, and you finished well, you truly won. Heaven has gained a soul.
You were a leader who led by example, a mentor anyone would be blessed to have.
Until we meet again, may you rest in perfect peace in the presence of your Creator, your Maker, and your Caller.
Apostle Hezekiah Abiodun Ayansola, to me and my sibling, he was our grandfather; to others, a father, teacher, mentor, role model, and truly an embodiment of Christ. But to me, he represented all of these and even more.
He was a great father figure who showed me nothing but genuine love, affection, and compassion throughout his life. His love for me and my siblings was equal, but as the first grandchild, we shared a very close bond. I followed him and my grandma almost everywhere they went, and many times I love being in their company. Whether I was leaving for school or returning home for a short holiday, he never failed to ask what I needed, and he always gave me more than enough for my upkeep. That was simply the kind of man he was.
He was someone who constantly placed the well-being of others before his own, not just for his family, but also for members of the church and even strangers. He showed kindness to everyone. Most times, I always tried my best never to disappoint him because he was someone who deserved nothing less than the very best in return. He was my favourite person.
He was truly an embodiment of Christ. The church itself stands as a living testimony. Just as he was hardworking in life, he was even more diligent in serving God. He was a man of songs, especially hymnal songs, and his devotion to Christ was evident in everything he did.
Though he is no longer physically with us, I see his passing as the completion of his assignment here on earth, a return to the Lord Most High after faithfully fulfilling his purpose. He could never be replaced, my prayer is that the church will continue to flourish even greater than before and that the Lord grants my family strength, comfort, and peace in this difficult time.
Once again, ‘Grandpa’, I miss you deeply, and I pray you continue to rest peacefully in eternal glory.
- Adedolapo

Though I was a child, you would listen intently to my wild perspectives and teenage dreams with the same rapt attention you gave to elders. I didn't realise what you were modelling then, I was just happy to have a deeply respected Father's attention.
Then you will follow up with a loving smile, or a soft-laugh, accompanied by deep wisdom and scriptural guidance...
Daddy, I am because you are. Your light ignited mine. You led me to the Lord. You nurtured my fire. You paid my bills when I had no help. You prayed for me and watched over me. It is a blessing to be numbered among your children, and to have been under your watch.
Your legacy will forever live on in me. And I look forward to chatting about our adventures on this side, when we eventually meet again in our Lord's Kingdom.
I miss you Daddy. Rest well. I love you.
A Son Never Forgets. Thank You
A brother, father, unifier and non discriminatory. The Bible says; " there is an end", we thank God for you ended well in Christ. You will forever live in my heart as your regular prayers for me still reverberate in my mind. You didn't die, you only transist to eternity.
Rest on in the bossom of the Lord whom you served till your last breath
Your life was a shining example of humility, faith, wisdom, and unwavering dedication to the work of God. Through your teachings, prayers, counsel, and fatherly care, countless lives were transformed, strengthened, and drawn closer to Christ. I am privileged to have been one of those blessed by your impact.
You were not only a preacher of the Gospel but also a living expression of love, discipline, and compassion. Your words brought healing, your prayers brought hope, and your presence brought peace to many hearts.
Though your departure has left a painful vacuum, we are comforted by the beautiful legacy you left behind and the assurance that you have gone to rest in the bosom of the Lord. Your labor on earth was not in vain, and your works will continue to speak for generations to come.
Thank you for being a vessel of honor and a blessing to this generation. Your memory will forever remain precious in our hearts.

Your daughter OLAMIDE ONIPEDE
MUMMY OBA

I had an accident that left me right leg immobilized for months.
Daddy and Mummy G.O. would come to my home almost every week to pray with me and encourage me.
Since 2014, I can confidently say that he has been and will always remain one of the greatest expressions of God’s love I have ever experienced. It takes a truly God-fearing heart for children to naturally love being around you.
A few days ago, while cleaning, I found my 2014 sermon notebook. For a moment, I became emotional, and then I remembered this was a man who not only preached about God, but genuinely lived by his faith.
I still remember one of his sermons so clearly, the joy on his face as he spoke about the day he would finally see Jesus.
Apostle Hezekiah Abiodun, the love, memories, and faith you spent your entire life building in us will never die.
Your teachings were powerful and shaped us. They helped us avoid mistakes we easily could have made as teenagers. Your heart for worship was unmatched, and even now I miss the crossover services because your songs brought a joy that ushered us beautifully into the new year.
You didn’t just lead us as a pastor; you showed us love.
“The memory of the righteous is a blessing.”
Rest well, sir. Your good works still speak, and your legacy lives on in us.

Words can never fully capture the depth of love, gratitude, and honor I carry in my heart for you. You were more than a father to me — you were a spiritual guide, a mentor, a teacher, and a shining example of faith and integrity.
Your life was dedicated to the service of God and humanity. Through your prayers, sacrifices, and unwavering devotion, you touched countless lives and inspired many to walk in the path of righteousness. You taught us the meaning of humility, discipline, hard work, and unconditional love.
Daddy, your wisdom shaped my life in ways I can never forget. Even in your absence, the values you instilled in me continue to guide my steps every day. Your voice still echoes in my heart, encouraging me to remain strong, faithful, and purposeful.
Though it hurts deeply that you are no longer here with us physically, I thank God for the privilege of being your child. Your legacy lives on in the lives you impacted, the family you nurtured, and the faith you upheld so passionately.
You fought a good fight, you kept the faith, and you finished your race honorably. Heaven has gained a faithful servant of God.
Rest on, my dear father, Apostle Ayansola Hezekiah Abiodun.
You will forever remain in my heart, greatly loved, deeply honored, and never forgotten.
Your son,

God will surely strengthen Mummy Ayansola, the entire family of PA Ayansola ,Pastors, workers and all members of Salvation Holy Spirit Church during this difficult time.

He loved God deeply and served Him faithfully as a prayer warrior and passionate evangelist. His commitment to the work of God, his words of encouragement, and his lifestyle of holiness were an inspiration to everyone around him.
Pastor lived a life of impact, spreading the Gospel with boldness and carrying people along with genuine love. Though he is gone from our sight, his legacy of faith, kindness, and devotion to God will never be forgotten.
May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. Heaven has truly gained a saint.
It is a great privilege to meet him and work with him in Christendom. Meeting him transformed my Spiritual life and also physical because , I am a changed man.
His word of counselling and spiritual directive will be miss for many years to come. He fought and won, he never compromised despite all challenges
Many years back, he called me if I will like to be his personnel assistant, a great privilege to work with him.
He was a man of respect and devoted to the word of God preached by him.
I was privileged to be with him throughout his transition to glory, just like the way Elijah was taken way from Elisha. I saw his last breath unforgettable memory of life time.
It is a great privilege serving him and staying beside him till the last day
Grandpa continue to rest on the blossom of God. We will all continue in the path you had showed us.
Good night Grandpa

I wrote to your dad and started with 'dear uncle', I sealed my letter so my dad couldn't read it and he gave it to your dad.
Your dad read my letter, sent me money for new school bags and shoes and told my dad to tell me he is not my uncle but my dad.
And that's how I have seen him always even till now, my daddy in Lagos.
He was a man of quiet spirit, gentle and yet his sermons are memorable. I particularly love his Bible study sessions.
While this loss my feel so personal to you, I want you to know that I am with you and lifting up our entire family in prayer.
When we shall see Him, we would all be like Him, He would wipe away our tears, there would be no more sorrow or pain.
Stay strong and be comforted pls. We love you daddy!

Today we honor a life well-lived, a beloved minister of God who has finished the race and kept the faith. For decades, you stood as a shepherd, a counselor, and a father. Even as the years advanced, your spirit remained youthful in hope and steadfast in prayer.
You never retired from loving people. With hands that had been raised in blessing countless times and a voice that had spoken words of comfort at weddings, baptisms, and funerals, you showed us that ministry is not a role but a way of life. Your sermons were not just spoken from the pulpit but lived out in quiet acts of kindness visiting the sick, encouraging the weary, and welcoming strangers as though they were angels.
Though your steps slowed, your intercessions never did. You carried the burdens of your congregation on a heart shaped by decades of surrender to Christ. In your final days, you still whispered the names of those you loved, lifting them to the One you had served so long.
Now you have entered the joy of your Master. You have exchanged your earthly tent for a heavenly dwelling. We will miss your gentle counsel, your knowing smile, and the peace that always seemed to follow in your wake.
