Obituary

Andrew Charles Pope of Sanford, FL, passed away peacefully in his home on November 2, 2025 at the age of 55. 

Andrew was born on May 16, 1970 in Baltimore, MD to William W. Pope and Frances (Brandl) Pope. The family moved to Garrett County, MD in 1971, where Andrew grew up. 

He graduated from Southern Garrett County High School in 1988. He joined the US Navy in 1990 as a photographer and served 5 years with honor.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Pope, his parents, his brother Nicholas Pope (Sarah) and his niece Eliane Pope. He was preceded in death by his daughter Johnna Pope. 

He will be remembered as a devoted father figure to Brandy Tapia, and grandfather to Zirionie Rivera, Zailynn Rivera, and Jaimelyn Cruz. 

His kindness, generosity and unwavering love for his families will never be forgotten.

Services

A memorial service was held on Nov. 22 in Maitland, Fla.  Andrew's ashes will be interred near his home in Sanford.
