Āmīn Yā Rabb al-Ālamīn
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ammaara Ebrahim Kola, who departed from this world on 26th August 2024 at the tender age of 25. Ammaara was a beacon of light in the lives of many, living her short but impactful life across Capetown, Birmingham, and ultimately, Langkawi Island, where she left this earthly realm.
Ammaara was a woman of unwavering faith, exuding beauty both inside and out. She was known for her hard work, purity, charitable nature, kindness, and generosity. Her sense of humor often brought joy to those around her, making even the heaviest of burdens seem lighter. Ammaara’s full heart and deep faith guided her actions every day, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She was the beloved wife of Muhammed Yusuf Kola, and their union was a testament to devotion and mutual respect. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared dreams, a partnership that will be cherished forever.
A funeral service/Janazah to honour and remember Ammaara was held on Langkawi Island, Malaysia, on 26th August 2024. In these moments of grief, we find solace in knowing that she is now in a better place, enveloped in the mercy and grace of Allāh SWT.
In this time of loss, we humbly request you to remember our beloved marhūmah Ammaara and her family in your du’ā’. May your prayers serve as a source of strength and comfort during this difficult time.
Jazākumullāhu khayrā.

Whether it’s how she would bloom forward like a flower when she’d laugh finding something funny (most often her own jokes), or how she’d make us laugh every single day. Her catchphrases from “sayyy less myyy g” to “AND AND AND” and her iconic facial expressions (most notably her cheeky eyes and smirk!). How she’d notice and remember the littlest things about everyone, so effortlessly. Her incredible kindness and generosity for not only her family and friends but literally everyone around her. How she would always pay attention to anything we said, and she would always make us feel so heard and so special. How even though she would shy away from attention, she still always managed to shine so brightly. Her dedication and commitment to everyone in her life and everything that she did, always putting others ahead of herself. All the way to her little quirks like how much she loved all things potato and ate her chips completely soaked in vinegar because otherwise they’d be too dry.
Our words could never do enough justice to how much our sweet Ambo means to us, our memories together and how special she is. We pray to be reunited with our soul sister Ammaara in the highest ranks of Jannatul Firdaus, and for everlasting strength for every single person experiencing this loss of a truly special soul. Masha’Allah she is the most perfect in every facet of her life, be it friend, colleague, daughter, sister, aunt, wife and every other aspect; we were all truly blessed to know her. We cannot imagine our lives without her, but we pray for a beautiful reunion with our best friend.
All our love and prayers for our sister Ambo,
Anbo, Gabbo-tron and Fesbo🤍🤍🤍🤍
PS: I added a picture one of our conversations, showing Ammaara always cheering me on through Med school, whenever i almost gave up, we didn’t get to see eachother a lot but she was always cheering me on in our messages.

In Loving Memory of Ammaara Ebrahim Kola
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ammaara Ebrahim Kola, beloved sister, daughter, aunt, wife, cousin and friend. Ammaara was a vibrant spirit who brought joy and laughter to everyone she met. Her warmth and kindness were felt deeply by all who knew her.
Ammaara was not just my baby sister; she was my long time best friend, confidante and my greatest supporter. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore the world, and she embraced life with open arms. Tragically, Ammaara's journey was cut short during her honeymoon in Malaysia, leaving a void in our hearts that can never be filled.
As we remember Ammaara, we celebrate her life and the beautiful memories we shared. She will forever be cherished in our hearts, and her legacy will live on through the love she gave and the lives she touched.
Dearest sister, May Allah grant you the highest of rankings in Jannat Al-Fidaws, Ameen. You were so very loved and will always be missed.
Your big, annoying & only sister, Shaaista (aka Shy-Stir)
(I cannot believe it’s been a month since your tragic accident which changed our lives forever and broke our hearts into a million pieces.)
