It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ammaara Ebrahim Kola, who departed from this world on 26th August 2024 at the tender age of 25. Ammaara was a beacon of light in the lives of many, living her short but impactful life across Capetown, Birmingham, and ultimately, Langkawi Island, where she left this earthly realm.

Ammaara was a woman of unwavering faith, exuding beauty both inside and out. She was known for her hard work, purity, charitable nature, kindness, and generosity. Her sense of humor often brought joy to those around her, making even the heaviest of burdens seem lighter. Ammaara’s full heart and deep faith guided her actions every day, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

She was the beloved wife of Muhammed Yusuf Kola, and their union was a testament to devotion and mutual respect. Together, they built a life filled with love and shared dreams, a partnership that will be cherished forever.

A funeral service/Janazah to honour and remember Ammaara was held on Langkawi Island, Malaysia, on 26th August 2024. In these moments of grief, we find solace in knowing that she is now in a better place, enveloped in the mercy and grace of Allāh SWT.

In this time of loss, we humbly request you to remember our beloved marhūmah Ammaara and her family in your du’ā’. May your prayers serve as a source of strength and comfort during this difficult time.

Jazākumullāhu khayrā.

To my dearest Ammaara, AE, my Mpw study partner, but most importantly my sick bay bae like we often referred to each-other as (cause we were always in the sick bay) …. hmmm where do I start from??!!!!!!!….i know you’re gone and you’ll never get to see this but i had to put all my emotions down cause everyone’s gotta know how important you were to us!…First of all girl!!!, this year has been crazy, L’s up and down you know, I was in the midst of grieving my own situation and still thanking God that at least I’m alive, there’s hope and then you had to go,…. your passing was the most unexpected, unbelievable, heartbreaking, heart wrenching news ever, gurll like I’d usually call you, when we’d talk, you knew losing my grandma was hard but at least she lived but you!!!!, you were just about to start living life!!!!!!!, to say that I’m sad is an understatement… I was already angry with what life was putting me through and then you were taken!!!!! my head is still on fire , I’m so so angry at life but then who am I to question Allah. And who knew it would be all the way in Malaysia , Girl you know your friend can’t afford that atm, but Imma get through this Med degree quick so I can afford to come see you. Ammaara I wake up everyday tired and I just get by , your sister is trying to be strong and so are your parents, we all miss you, looking at your pictures makes me gulp my tears!!!!!, there’s no day that i don’t think of you and shed a few tears of what ifs. Sometimes i don’t wanna eat because i just can’t imagine i gotta get on with life but imma eat today cause you always say you’ll report me to “Mama Adebayo” like you often called my mum. I’m sorry we never went on our brunch dates, I’m sorry i wasn’t there always, but looking through our messages today I realised how much you loved me and I’m glad I told you as many times as I could that I loved you too. Your beautiful smile and memories will forever be cherished in my heart Ammaara, thank you for loving me regardless of my shortcomings, I love you and miss you soo soo much My dear friend and I pray Allah Subhana wa’ tala grants you the highest rank in Al- jannah firdaus…. A mosque is being built in your name, you’ll never be forgotten, I love and miss you soo much . Till we meet again , Rest on beautiful beautiful Ammaara Ebrahim💞💞💞💞💞

PS: I added a picture one of our conversations, showing Ammaara always cheering me on through Med school, whenever i almost gave up, we didn’t get to see eachother a lot but she was always cheering me on in our messages.

In Loving Memory of Ammaara Ebrahim Kola

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ammaara Ebrahim Kola, beloved sister, daughter, aunt, wife, cousin and friend. Ammaara was a vibrant spirit who brought joy and laughter to everyone she met. Her warmth and kindness were felt deeply by all who knew her.

Ammaara was not just my baby sister; she was my long time best friend, confidante and my greatest supporter. Her adventurous spirit led her to explore the world, and she embraced life with open arms. Tragically, Ammaara's journey was cut short during her honeymoon in Malaysia, leaving a void in our hearts that can never be filled.

As we remember Ammaara, we celebrate her life and the beautiful memories we shared. She will forever be cherished in our hearts, and her legacy will live on through the love she gave and the lives she touched.

Dearest sister, May Allah grant you the highest of rankings in Jannat Al-Fidaws, Ameen. You were so very loved and will always be missed.

Your big, annoying & only sister, Shaaista (aka Shy-Stir)

(I cannot believe it’s been a month since your tragic accident which changed our lives forever and broke our hearts into a million pieces.)
