Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Alli Semako Okunade, our beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, and mentor.

Alli was a kind, generous, compassionate, and optimistic man who believed deeply in people and in the possibility of becoming better. He never allowed his humble beginnings to define the life he would lead, and he encouraged those around him to dream beyond their circumstances.

Family was at the heart of his life. He took great pride in being a husband and father and was a caring and supportive brother and uncle. He was approachable, willing to listen, and always ready to offer guidance or encouragement. His home and heart were open to many, and he welcomed people without regard to whether they were family by blood.

Throughout his life, Alli made a difference in the lives of others. He supported widows, fatherless children, friends, and many others who needed a helping hand. He gave generously and found genuine joy in making life easier for those around him.

He was a lover of books, learning, and ideas and the founder of Atlantic Publishers Ltd. His curiosity and creativity were reflected in his work and became part of the legacy he passed on to us.

Above all, Alli lovingly served Jehovah and held his faith close to his heart. He believed in living with purpose, maintaining hope, and finding reasons to enjoy life. He valued forgiveness, compassion, generosity, family, and kindness. One of the final messages he left behind was, “Be good to people no matter what. That is my legacy.” Those words capture the spirit of the life he lived.

His death leaves a profound sadness in all of us: his wife, children, siblings, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched. While we deeply feel his absence, we are grateful for the years we shared with him and for the values, memories, and lessons he left with us.

Alli Semako Okunade will be lovingly remembered for the man he was, the lives he touched, and the love he gave so freely.

We find comfort in the hope of the resurrection and look forward to the day we will see him again in the new world.
