Obituary

With gratitude to God, we announce the passing of Chief (Mrs) Dorcas Ajoke Akingbade (JP), who was born on 29th October 1929 and passed away on 8th September 2026 in Akure, Ondo State.


Mama Akure will be remembered for her strength, grace, faith, kindness, generosity, and the great ability to bring people together. Family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues all experienced the strong, warmth and sincerity that made time spent with Mama Akure meaningful.

Throughout life, Mama Akure built lasting connections and touched many lives through simple acts of care, encouragement, and friendship. Conversations, shared moments, and everyday gestures created memories that will remain with those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family and her faith meant a great deal to her.

Her passing leaves a space that cannot be filled. Yet the memories, lessons, and moments shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know her.

Mummy Akure will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
