There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains."

Obituary

With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of Agapita "Aggie" Zavala, who entered eternal rest on June 28, 2026, in Oxnard, CA. Born on March 26, 1947, Aggie lived a life filled with love, joy, and cherished memories until the day she danced her way into Heaven.
On April 29, 1966, Aggie married her sweetheart, Raul Zavala Sr., and together they built a home filled with warmth and laughter. She found immense joy in dancing with her husband Raul, whether at home or wherever music played. A devoted mother and grandmother, Aggie delighted in singing and dancing with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family treasures memories of waking up to the aroma of her delicious potato, egg, and bacon breakfasts, both at home and during their many camping trips.
Aggie's kindness extended far beyond her immediate family. She welcomed countless friends, neighbors, and her children's friends into her home with open arms, treating them as part of her extended family. Her strength, generosity, and boundless love left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Raul Zavala Sr.; her siblings Alice Lerma; Rebecca and Anson Whitfield; Ermalinda and Don Ursitti; and Annie Beltz; Rosa Seja Estrada, and Victoria Seja Cedillo.
Her children Rauly and Eydie Zavala; Benny Zavala; Paris Zavala; Ruby and Armando Galindo; Nyomi and Jose Chavez; Priscilla (PC) Zavala and Lili Avila; and Evelyn Zavala.
Her grandchildren, Eva and Mark Brown Sr., Amelia Zavala and Markie Meza Sr, Abel Mora, Benny "Tonka" Zavala and Valeri Melendez, Alexis Zavala, April and Matt Orosco, Bethanny and Manuel Lopez, Aaron Sepulveda, Abigail Zavala, Corina Chavez, Anthony Zavala and Vanessa Cordova, Jasmine Zavala, Joseph Chavez, Neerja Sepulveda, Joanna Chavez, Layla Zavala, Rez LeClaire, and Jacob Chavez, Gregory Sepulveda Jr, Amanda, Marinna, Thomas, Noah, Adam, Alizah Galindo, Rayven Flores, and Sierra Valenzuela.
And her great-grandchildren, Mark Jr, Shawn, Noah, Malaya, Markie Jr., Betty, Kailani, Kiana, Aubree, Michael, Jazlynn, Jacob, Amorah, Ahmad Jr., Bella, Jayson, Jocelyn and Jaxson, Anthony Jr., Ayaan, and Benicio.
Aggie was preceded in death by her father, Ignacio Seja, her mother Adelina Seja, her sisters, Julia Seja Montez, Ramona Seja Baron and her brother, Pete Seja.
