Announcement

On July 5th Adam passed from natural causes. He was at a place that he loved, on the edge of the Colorado River. He was standing next to his dad, Bob. They had just finished dinner, were having a good chat after a day camping and on the water. He did not suffer and he left nothing unsaid. He is survived by his parents, Bob Schwarz, Mike and Marcia Lambert; his sister, Jenny Schwarz; the love of his life, Anna Crowley and the numerous friends and extended family he loved dearly.

His Life in Brief

Adam was born in Los Angeles and raised in Torrance and Manhattan Beach CA. He graduated from Mira Costa High School in 2001. He attended WyoTech in Laramie Wyoming, graduating in Automotive Mechanics. He later followed his passion and graduated from Divers Institute of Technology in Seattle Washington. He lived in Lafayette Louisiana from 2010-2018 working as a commercial diver. In 2019 he moved to Oakland to help his sister Jenny open a restaurant. He continued to help build bars and restaurants and bartend. In 2023 at one of those restaurants, NIDO's BackYard, he met his girlfriend Anna as she attended a wedding. In 2024 he started working with his dad Bob to develop residential homes. He was feeling positive about the future.

One of my favorite memories of Adam is from the kitchen, when he explained to me "Food is my Love Language". I treasure my memories of sharing that Love Language with Adam, and I am forever grateful to have known him.

Adam was such a special friend to my boys growing up. I don’t know where to begin. He was part of our family. Camping trips, hockey, Halloween, beach time, bikes, birthday parties, just hanging out a playing. He was the sweetest boy. I don’t know where the time went with these boys growing up. So many memories. Adam was funny and always up for anything that was fun. I’m so sorry that I didn’t get to see him as an adult. He was such a wonderful person. I hope some of the pictures bring a smile to Marcia Jenny Bob and Mike. He will be missed. I’m so terribly sorry for your loss

I remember first meeting Adam at a trailhead in the hills of San Francisco. He was introduced to me by Anna. I remember how easy it was to connect. His warmth and authenticity were remarkable. That day we got to see the elusive Pacific Tree Frog and shared in the joy of seeing it. While I was just getting to know him, I will always remember his sincerity, presence and care in each of our conversations. I'm truly sad that our opportunity to continue our friendship was cut short. My heart goes out to all his friends and family that are experiencing this loss.

Adam’s presence lit up every room he entered—his joy was contagious, and the last moments we spent with him were filled with laughter, warmth, and light. It’s hard to believe someone so full of life could be gone so soon. Our hearts ache for Marcia, Mike, Bob, Jenny, and Anna, whose loss is unimaginable. While his time here was far too short, Adam truly lived fully—with passion, kindness, and a zest for life that won’t soon fade from our memories.

Dear family,
I watched the picture show filled with love and sadness. Adam gave his fullest to life and brought us joy. His picture with Charlie and Owen, dressed as the Christmas Elf is how I choose to remember Adam. He had a zest for life, enjoyed his ability to share humor and love. His family was precious to him and we feel so grateful to be extended members of this Holiday sharing family.
We share your grief, your sadness, your pride and your love. Adam will always remain our special Christmas Elf. Brings a smile to my face. A life so well lived.

When Adam was about 6 months old he came into our lives. Over the many years we would go on mini vacations or just get together for fun times, always filled with great laughter and enjoyment. We remember fondly his quiet, loving kindness and his happiness all getting together. Briane particularly remembers how Adam would teach him about boats and engines. He always seemed to have a gentle smile that welcomed others. He would often tease or joke with me in a loving way. Adam will always be in our hearts and fond memories. With love always, Sue and Briane

How I wish, my siblings and I had had the honor/gift of meeting Adam. We got to know him vicariously through all the wonderful, fun pictures that Anna sent us. What great adventures they had together. Since I couldn't meet Adam in person, I send him thank you note from Anna aunts, Liza, Pat, uncle Graham, and her cousins Ward, Kallie, Grace, Jake, Zach, Henry, Lydia, Lexie, Garrett, Perry, and Spencer
Adam, thank you for being there for Anna, when we couldn't be there physically. So many times you helped her carry her through those events. You gave her respite and sanctuary. You being there for her gave us all a sense of relief, lessened our worries, and allowed us to breath and loosen our shoulders, knowing she was in such loving hands. Again thank you

The memory wall of pictures speaks volumes about Adam. We can tell he loved and lived well, and he was loved. We bet he was a great hugger too. We send condolences to those that love Adam and we celebrate him with all of you. Lots and lots of love from the East coast family
