Abzal Khan

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Obituary
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Abzal, born on January 2, 1947, and who left us on May 27, 2026.
Born in Trinidad;Port of Spain, Abzal—also known as Lal, Trini, and 2D is the name and cabbing is the Game—will be remembered for his loud mouth, colorful language, and unmatched ability to make people laugh. Family, friends, neighbors, and colleagues all experienced the warmth, sincerity, and humor that made every moment with him unforgettable.
Throughout his life, Abzal built lasting connections and touched countless lives through simple acts of care, encouragement, and friendship. Conversations, shared moments, and everyday gestures created memories that will remain with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Family and friends meant everything to Abzal. And while he was loving and generous, when his “flag” went up, he was loyal to a fault—fiercely protective of the people he cared about.
His passing leaves a space that cannot be filled. Yet the memories, lessons, and moments shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Abzal Khan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

Sharing these photos helps capture who Dad was, but they’re only part of the story.
Please feel free to share your own memories and photos if you have them. I’ll continue to update this space as I find more.
Till we meet again.

I am grateful to have had him as a father figure. He always treated me like one of his own daughters and was there not only for his children but for the entire family whenever we needed him. His presence, wisdom, and love touched so many lives.
Much love to you, Abzal. In your honor, I’ll get a pair of Reebok sneakers and lace them the way you did. I’ll play under the boardwalk for you, learn how to fish, and maybe even let the current events play on TV, just as you loved to do. Those little things will always remind me of you.
Thank you for the memories, the guidance, and the love. You will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever loved.
Rest in peace, Abzal. ❤️

May his soul rest in peace forever. He will be missed.
He truly loved people, and they loved him right back. From the very first moment I met him, he was incredibly warm, completely non-judgmental, and welcomed me into the family without a single hesitation or question. I will always think of Abzal with a loving heart, and he will forever hold a special place in my life. 🙏🏾
My condolences to the entire family. God bless you ❤️
He was never judgmental but compassionate and understanding, which guided me through life's ups and downs. Uncle A, will surely never be forgotten and forever will have a spot in my heart.
