This memorial is lovingly dedicated to celebrating the life and legacy of our beloved Abayomi Adeyinka Abidemi Oyeyinka, affectionately known as “Yoke.”
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Oluwakemi Abebi Oriyomi Oyeyinka-Akosile and Oluwatoyin Aderonke Oyeyinka; his cherished grandchildren, Ayokunle Quillan Akosile and Ayokorede Maddox Akosile; his brother, sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of dear friends whose lives were enriched by his love and friendship.
On the afternoon of April 8, 2026, Yoke peacefully departed this life, leaving behind a remarkable legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering integrity. He was a charismatic man whose warmth, generosity, and gentle spirit touched the hearts of everyone privileged to know him.
He lived a life of purpose, faith, and adventure, always surrounded by the love of family and friends. Though a man of few words, his actions spoke volumes. He carried himself with dignity, upheld strong Christian values, and inspired others through his humility, wisdom, compassion, and steadfast character.
Although he is no longer physically with us, his light continues to shine in our hearts. His smile, his love, and the countless precious memories we shared will remain with us always, reminding us of a life well lived and a man deeply loved.

You came and conquered, we lived together for years, it was always peaceful wherever you were, you loved people and always wanted all to be happy and bubbling.
Your feminine tone was a symbol of civility and unification cos no argument or fight stay till next day among us all then. Our Continental master chef sleep well.

Celebrating Yomi Oyeyinka
Before Yomi, there was the indefatigable, superbly intelligent, admirable, great leader, Broda Gboyega Oyeyinka, his senior brother, my beloved Senior Prefect at Odogbolu Grammar School, a caring, inspiring leader, that we loved, and respected very much. We were all sad when he transitioned. We pray he continues to rest in peace with God. His memory still brings us joy much like his younger brother does. Yomi was a wonderful personality. We met in Miami, Florida, and my love and kindest regards immediately flowed to Yomi. Like Broda Gboyega, Yomi waa easy to get along with. He had presence. Everyone in Miami wanted to be his friend, especially the notable ones, Sir Kamal Aromashodu, Inkey Aromashodu, Taofic Lasaki, Tony Muniz, Joe Adolo Okotieboh (RIP), Crosby, Bala Tafawa Balewa, all his friends from Burnside-OTT flying school. It was a fun time, full of joyful memories. Yomi was kind, caring, and fun loving. He loved, and enjoyed life. We celebrate his precious life, and mourn his passing. To his family, friends, and loved ones, we wish each and every one of you well in God's amazing grace. Stay safe. Be well.

In Loving Memory of Yomi Oyeyinka
Yomi was a very good Friend and a good man also.I met Yomi in Miami earlier in 1975 when he was a Student in Aviation School in Florida.
He was introduced by one of our elders Sir Kamal Aromashodun,the last time i saw Yomi was three years ago at his house in Suru -Lere,together with some good friends Mr Aduloju and Mr Munis Toni we all Spent very good time together we all took a walk to electronics very close to his house in S/L,he said he very tired and wanted to go back home,he was Sick at the time,that was th las time i saw him.
Yomi was very good Friend,very Funny,honest and also very humble.
We all going to miss him a great deal
Yomi. May your Soul rest in perfect peace,May God be with the Family that he left behind.Till we see again Yomi RIP.

ABAYOMI ABIDEMI OYEYINKA
Yomi, Yoke, as I lovingly called him, was my brother and dear friend. He was my esteemed late friend Adegboyega's younger brother. In 1976, Yomi walked up to me at Burnside-Ott Flight School in Miami, Florida, where we were both students, and that was the beginning of a life long, loving, relationship, and friendship. We enjoyed our travels to many cities in the United States and to the United Kingdom visiting family and friends. Yoke was a charming, fun loving, generous, kind brother. He looked out for those in distress, and helped as best he could often with financial, monetary support, offering wise counsel, with care, and kind consideration. To Yoke's many friends, he was gregarious, jovial, and a joy to be around. He kept up with many, especially, with his friends from his time in Miami, his room mates Folly Adeoye, Sailor, his buddies. Inkey Aromashodu, Ladi Wilson, Tommy Lasaki, Gbenga Aduloju, and Tony Munis, who all loved, cared, and were in touch with him till his final moment. Yoke was much loved, and respected by all of us. He was preceded in death by his dear friend, Joe Adolo Okotieboh. Yomi remains dear in our hearts. God rest his marvelous soul in peace, comfort, console, and strengthen all of us who loved him. Peace!

It is with reluctance that I write a tribute on a departed cherished friend....

Words cannot express how much i have missed you. You were a good and genuine friend that one could rely upon in any given situation. Yomi always wanted to make people happy. Despite not having so much at any given time,he was very generous.
Yomi lived in the State of Florida, loved travelling and will come to Hollywood, Los Angeles where I stayed for a week or more regularly. He never got engaged in long arguments over whatever. Once he gave his opinion, he will keep quiet to listen to others.
Yomi was a fantastic cook in all dishes, be it Nigerian or Continental. If you were in the same vehicle with him driving, you would be pressing on an imaginary brake wherever you are seated.
AYOMEE, keep on resting in perfect peace with the Lord.
