My God sent brother and in-law (Moyo), the news of your demise sent shockwaves down my spine on that black Thursday, the 23rd of May 2024 – a day I’ll hardly forget, most especially because I just visited you at the Ndifor Private Clinic in Bota – Limbe a week before and you looked refreshed and energetic.
Within the very short time that our children brought us together, we forged a strong connection, maybe because, from my observation, we shared the same characteristic traits such as being a disciplinarian, a mixer and thriller, a believer in a job well done, and a simple, humble, neat, astute, loving, peaceful, and friendly person.
Mr. Emma, you inspired and impacted many. You stood against the subjugation and exploitation of others. You empowered and invigorated your community in far-reaching ways—the Limbe community can testify. All these are virtues and values that I cherish in you.
Your absence leaves a void that is hard to fill. I will greatly miss the collaboration and support I received from you. However, as the Bible teaches us, everything God does is good. Go then, dear brother, and meet your maker, hoping to meet you again and part no more.
Your Moyo, CD EKONGWESE.

Daddy, I don’t have the words to express how much I miss you. Life is different without you, but I am grateful I got to call you my dad. I want to thank you for always being there for me every step of the way. Thank you for your guidance, support, and love. You were not only my father but also my greatest role model, hero, and inspiration. I keep thinking about you Daddy even though it hurts. Your last wish for me came to pass. I’ll always remember you because they’ll never be another one to replace you in my

Hey Dad! It's your little girl. Can you hear me calling? Losing you has been the most traumatic event in my life. My heart aches in sadness, and my silent tears overflow. Your smile and voice are forever engraved in my memory. I wish you could ask me one more time to cook achu for you, and I'll gladly do. As much as I miss you, I have to sadly accept that you're with the Lord. This acceptance gives me the strength to carry on, knowing that you're still guiding and watching over me. Sleep in heavenly peace, Daddy. You are forever in my heart and memory. I love you, Dad.

The day God called your name it broke my heart into pieces. But Heaven needed an angel and the one chosen was you. I wish he could have waited a little longer for you to enjoy the fruit of your labour. Daddy you have left memories in my heart that will never be forgotten. I wish I could rewind the Clock. I will forever miss you daddy. I know you are in a better place. Keep shining in Heaven so you can light my way and the ways of the children you left behind

Pa Emma was both a father and an elder brother to me.
When I was struggling to make ends meet, you called me and said, "You know, you are a successor. Your father used to show us love and care when we passed through his compound." With that same love and concern, you invited me to join the Tuh tax group, saying it would help me overcome my financial challenges.
After joining the group, you became a mentor to me. You even entrusted me with a responsibility as one of the Tuh-tax Exco members. Whenever I faltered in my duties, you were there to gently correct me.
Pa Emma, during my time with you, you taught me a valuable lesson: money has different sides. You instilled in me the importance of managing my own finances responsibly, as well as the finances entrusted to me. Above all, you taught me the power of hard work and multiple income streams. You emphasized never neglecting even the smallest source of income. My family and I have benefited greatly from your advice and guidance.
Pa Emma, you may be gone, but your legacy lives on. When I look at my achievements and successes, I feel your presence with us. I am incredibly grateful for all you've done. I promise to uphold this legacy and pass it on to the next generation.
Pa, may your journey be well. May Archangels Raphael and Michael guide you to eternal rest, where we will all meet again. My family and I will never forget you.
ADIEU Pa Emma!

Pa Emma, hey
Pa Emma,
How did it happen?
You asked me to prepare Achu and yellow soup for you, using the special traditional spice.
On that fateful day, you went to Douala, telling me you would be back soon to eat the achu.
To my greatest surprise, you went to Douala and stayed for two weeks without ever returning to eat the achu.
Your illness prolonged, and you were moved to Ndifor Hospital in Limbe, then all the way to the UK.
You underwent treatment and follow-up for over a week, yet there was no improvement.
Shortly after, the only news I got was your passing. What a shock.
It was like a dream, still like a dream, that you are no more. An untimely bomb.
Oh, someone wake me up from this dream.
Pa Emma, I will greatly miss you.
We shared so much together.
You were a brother, a father, an uncle, and an advisor to all who came to you.
You were such a peace-loving person.
You leave a void in my heart.
Farewell, bro. May your soul find rest in the Lord's bosom.
Till we meet to part no more.

My dear friend and brother EMMANUEL; God is Great? We have to praise him for everything, You are gone and we will Continue to praise his mighty name. Your departure came to me with mixed feelings, I couldn't believe what I was being told, until your daughter Mandeh Called me to confirm the bad news. I was puzzled and confused because you just spoke to me a few hours back, and this was what you told me “ pa pa pa, it is not moving it is not moving”.
Later did I know this was our last conversation. We thank God for everything and give him the glory, thank him for everything and the life he gave you. You indeed use it well to the fullest, your legacy is very noticeable and thank him for blessing you with children, who are capable of promoting that legacy. I wish you didn’t go to the unknown this early. Who will called me pa pa pa many times daily , I am missing a great brother and friend who understood my ways very well. O my God. Why?
God alone knows why, but why to soon. he will give you peace and bless you abundantly forever.
Rest in perfect peace

The Legacy of Pa Emmanuel Akewo.
Pa Emmanuel Akewo, a visionary leader, conceived the idea for a financial support group called TAX in Limbe in 1995. This idea, born in Yaounde, found its roots in Clerks Quarters, Limbe, where the first meetings were held. TAX was aimed at bringing Awing people of all ages together to pull resources and support one another financially.
As TAX membership grew, Pa Akewo and other elders established a separate faction called TUH-TAX specifically for senior members. This marked the beginning of multiple TAX groups within Limbe. Following the success of TUH-TAX, the growing population in Limbe led to the creation of additional TAX groups: ATTOMPTE (originally at Nurses Quarter, later moved to Mbende), two groups at Mile 4, and a new group forming in Isokolo. Today, TAX boasts five thriving groups, serving Awing and non-Awing members alike. These groups stand as a testament to Pa Akewo's brilliant vision. His legacy within TAX will forever be cherished.
The sudden passing of Pa Emma on May 23rd, 2024, left a deep void in the hearts of the TUH-TAX members. He was a pillar of the group, serving as a patron, financial secretary, treasurer and a source of constant encouragement.
Pa Emmanuel Akewo had remarkable qualities that will be deeply missed such as:
Punctuality: He was always present for Sunday meetings except when he is sick or out of town.
Peaceful Mediator: He advocated for non-violence and offered solutions during disagreements.
Humility and Simplicity: These qualities extended beyond the confines of TUH-TAX.
Financial Expertise: His meticulous record-keeping as a leader ensured transparency and smooth operation of the group.
Pa Akewo's passing has created a significant gap in TUH-TAX. He will be remembered for his humor, leadership, and dedication to the well-being of the group's finances and its members.
TUH-TAX Bota, Limbe, offers its heartfelt condolences. May you find eternal peace.

May the soul of my brother/friend rest in peace. What an unprecedentable.world? Knowing him from childhood, Emmanuel life has been to take care of others even more than himself. I copied a hard working attitude in gardening and farming from him. My bosom friend, you will be remembered how you treated people with a lot of tact and respect . I had never seen you frowning or being bitter. The Almighty knows what he does.

Mr. Anumbosi Emmanuel Akewo
Pa EMMA as I fondly called you. On May 23rd 2024 the bell of my gate rang repeatedly. I had a visitor who visited me often but this particular visit was so strange. His looks were devastating but I managed to calm him down. He brooked the news that Pa your best friend and namesake is no more. It took me over 15 minutes to recollect. I know that it is a path for all of us but yours came so soon. I have known you for more than twenty years. We were so close to call. We had almost the same vision in life. You worked so hard and diligently with the Central African Bank (BEAC) until your retirement without blemish. Always ready to assist anyone who came across you with a problem. A very keen listener and good adviser you were. In your family life, you were a great lover of children. Little wonder why you brought up your children so well and they are so proud of you today.
In your social life, you were a community man who spared no effort in community development. Our quarter will always remember you for the great role you played in bringing life to it. That is, the realization of the pipe borne water (water they say is life).
Above all, you were retired but not tired, you made valuable use of your time in agriculture and I must thank you for the lessons, instructions and directives you gave to me and a host of others who really have agriculture as a hobby today.
You were a mentor and have died a hero. May your gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
Adieu.

Daddy Emma (which I will call Ndeh Emma) has finished his race and is now in the presence of the Lord. When I reflect on the time I was still at the university of Buea you will come around to check on me to make sure I was doing good. Thank you for the love and care and for always reminding me that the family needs to stay together. Stay blessed in the presence of the Lord until we meet again.

Fondly called "Pa Akewo" by all members due to the fatherly love he showered on them.
Pa joined the St Raphael small Christian community (SCC) in 2019. He would attend meetings when chanced and was up to date with his financial obligations to the group. He was very time conscious and frowned on the laxity of members. He was gentle but firm in handling issues in St Raphael SCC.
Financially; Pa always backed up the group when they could not meet up with financial tasks given by the church. Your generosity did not only end at the level of the St Raphael SCC but also to the Our Lady of Lourdes Mission Station. Your door was ever open to receive exco members of the church committee soliciting for financial assistance or advice. You made work for the team easier. You pioneered the funding of the tiling of the church and your support at Harvest Thanksgiving can NEVER be forgotten. You were a pacesetter always standing for what is right, a father, counsellor and leader.
We have lost a pillar in our community. We shall miss you dearly. THANK YOU. ADIEU PA AKEWO.

A TRIBUTE TO MY DEAR FRIEND, PA AKEWO EMMANUEL ANUMBOSE
Death always leaves us with questions we may never find answers to. I feel seriously cheated in life to see my dear friend and brother, Emmanuel leave me just when we needed him most. It has been a heartbreaking and devastating experience since I received the sad news on that black Thursday morning of 23/5/24 and I keep on asking myself the question “what is life?”
Our dear friend, husband and father, Emmanuel was an example of a fine, hardworking and visionary person, strict but very loving. He always fought for things to be done the right way, with honesty and to the satisfaction of all involved. His contributions to social groups in which he was member are enormous and his legacy will forever remain in NADCA, Limbe, Pang Atuh Family Group where he tactfully participated in auditing the annual financial reports, in the Peukem Limbe group (Awing Notable), Awing Westcoast Limbe group, the powerful “Atomteh” tax group Limbe which he founded and hosted all his life, the BEAC Limbe retirees group, just to name a few.
The loss of such a caring friend that Emmanuel was, is a reminder of life’s fragility and the preciousness of every moment shared hear on earth when we are alive.
To us all, the family, friends and well-wishers of our beloved one, Pa Emmanuel has left behind a big void that can never be filled. May we find moments of peace and healing in faith and prayers for the repos of his gentle soul. Emmanuel’s spirit will forever be a guiding light, illuminating the path through the darkness of grief. May we also find strength in the love and memories for Pa Emmanuel which we will always hold dear, by God’s grace.
Fare thee well EMMANU and may you find perfect peace in the bosom of our Lord.
Ta Mbah Mbole Joseph

Daddy
Just want to thank God your life on earth and the whole generation you impacted. I have known you daddy ever since I met your daughter Brenda. It’s been a pleasure hearing all the funny stories and stringent rules you had. Hearing all these stories made me feel like I’ve know you all my life. You were always there to send us your nicely smoked fish. I never knew of KUTTA until Brenda and she told me you were an expert on smoking fish. You were a dad to many and I’m glad I saw you in person in your last few days and you shared some precious moments with us. It was short but memorable and at the same time painful. We cried and cried and wished you could wake up to wipe our tears daddy, but God has a better place for you. Thank you for being a good dad to many.
Rest in perfect peace till we met again.

Daddy, you are a true definition of family is not by blood. I still hear your voice saying “my daughter “ or “Leona” as you fondly called me. I still see you sitting at that our corner in the house. You were indeed the most kind hearted and strong human I know, your calmness and personality is on another level. You were one of my strong pillars, I still read our last conversations where even on your sick bed, you could still go to the farm and always say “ Leona pass through the house and get plantains or corn or this….”
The last time I came to the house, you told me you were traveling for medical check up, I never imagined it will be the last time seeing you, it pains me your death could have been avoided.
The only consolation is that you are an ANGEL now and watching over us. Rest well Daddy, you will never be forgotten.

Pa Emma was a father figure to me. He was a constant source of guidance, support and unwavering love in my life. Though he has departed from this world, his memory and the invaluable lessons he imparted will forever live on in my heart.
Our last encounter, was the day he was traveling to UK for his treatment. I was in Bamenda for a wedding when he called me, telling me to come and see him before he could travel. Little did I know it was our last encounter. He shared words of wisdom, imparting advice that has resonated deeply within me.
Pa Emmanuel's untimely passing has left an irreplaceable void. His memory will forever be cherished, and his teachings will continue to guide me as I navigate the complexities of life. Thank you, Pa, for being there for me. Your legacy will live on.

I wish I could read and understand the times. Then I would have known that the last time I saw you in April was the last time we could ever say all the good byes.
Sorry for the great job you did for God's people when you lived. I believe your way is smooth, and I pray ours be as well. Farewell
Your brother.

A Tribute to Emmanuel Anumbosi : A Lifelong Friend.
Emmanuel, a pillar of strength, a beacon of friendship, and a cherished companion. Your sudden departure after a protracted illness has left an irreplaceable void in me and in the hearts of those who knew him.
We grew up together in the idyllic village of Awing, our childhoods intertwined with the laughter of playmates, the adventures of exploration, and the shared dreams of a bright future. Emmanuel was more than just a friend; he was a brother, a confidant, and a constant presence in my life.
The eighties brought us to the bustling city of Yaoundé, where we navigated the challenges of urban life together. Through thick and thin, Emmanuel's unwavering loyalty and support were a source of comfort and strength. We celebrated victories and weathered storms side by side, forging an unbreakable bond that time could not diminish.
In the nineties, our paths led us to Limbe, where we continued to work together at the central bank. Emmanuel's dedication, expertise, and integrity were instrumental to his success. He was not only a valued colleague but also a mentor and a role model to many.
Emmanuel's passing is a profound loss, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He was a man of exceptional character, a loyal friend, and a loving family member. His legacy will continue to inspire us all.
Farewell, dear Emmanuel. You will be deeply missed.
Dwell well in the peace of the Almighty ,until we meet again.
Your dear friend & brother.
Metiemelah Johnbest Akondeng.

I lack words to properly express, my condolence.to a Bossom friend of a brother!!
Pa Emma as I fondly called him, was a soft hearted personality. He will not hurt a fly nor have time for score settling with anybody.
His abrupt malaise was quite a surprise even to himself.
He braved the odds with all the means at hand but, each day had a different face of a disease with different names that money couldn't buy.
He had to succumb, even before traveling out to England.
At least, he had time to speak to children and
grannies, inlaws.
Each day, we spend chasing the wind.
Pa Emma worked so hard; even after retiring some few single digit years, back., but.what ever happened, happened.
I'm so devastated because, we were more than, brothers .
May your gentle soul, Pa Emma; rest in the bossom of our creator.
Peace, perfect peace

I am saddened by the sudden passing on to glory of our beloved brother Akewoh Emmanuel.
However, I rejoice in that he died in the Lord. Rev 14:13
I can testify that he surrendered his life to the Lord and owner Master Jesus Christ because he called me a few days ago to come with my pastor friends and pray for him. Thank God we did so and led him to Christ.
Nde Emma is safely resting in the loving arms of the Lord.
Let us prepare to meet Nde Emma on that glorious day of the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.
Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”
Let's get ready to meet with the King of Glory; let us look up to Jesus Christ the Author and Finnisher of our faith. Heb 12:2.
May the Lord give us His peace. 2 Thes. 3:16

Sweet Daddy, as you were fondly called by COF members. The news of your demise left us in shock. We wished it was a nightmare but no, it was a reality which we have come to accept in spite of the pain we feel in our hearts. You were our patron, member, adviser and financial expert.
As a member, you never came late to the meeting and you were proud to tell us that, Throughout your years in active service, you never went late to the office. You advised us to always be time conscious in order to meet up with all our activities. You paid all the contributions as expected from every member, and participated fully in all our activities.
As our patron, you always went extra mile to Support us financially during special occasions like launching of COF uniform, Thanksgiving by COF members, end of year celebration and Women's day celebrations and valentine's day celebrations.
Our Sweet Daddy!! COF members miss you so much. Just in February 2024, we were together during the celebration of Valentine's day. The memory is still fresh in our minds, how you danced and exchanged gifts with your vally. You were so full of life.
In March 2024, during the celebration of women's day, you supported us as usual, but excused your absence due to other commitments. You were still strong and full of life.
Later that very month, you complained of Serious gastric pains. Little did we know that, it was the beginning of your end.
Our joy is that, COF members were with you all along. Sweet Jacky and sweet Priscilla were at your back and call following your instructions, they called the attention of our priests who visited you more than twice, making sure that you received the necessary sacraments and anointing before your departure to the UK, taking along, the Rosary and prayer booklet bought by sweet Jacky under your instruction.
We are comforted by the fact that, you died while praying the rosary, for it was clinged to your chest together with the prayer booklet. May our mother Mary intercede for you.
Adieu our Sweet Daddy.

Daddy, we little knew the day God would call your name. In life I loved you dearly, In death I do same. It broke our hearts to lose you but you didn’t go alone. For part of us went with you the day God called you home. You left us peaceful memories. Your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always at our side, just like your name Emmanuel(God is with us). The family chain is broken and nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again.
Good night daddy💔

Nde Emma, it is rather unfortunate and so sad that you left us again in pain just two years after your brother Nde Ayafor Daniel Akewoh.
Despite the pains in our heart, we celebrate you not just because you lived but because you were an indispensable pillar of the Akewoh's family. You never allowed any body to tarnish the image of the family or suffered any how. Your love, hardworking, determination, openness gave me a different view of life.
I remember while we were in Yaounde, you told me,ESEH, ’to become a man is not a day dream, you have to work hard in other to make ends need. The school I am sending you to learn is your wife, your children, your house just to mention a few’. I keyed to your advice. Thanks be to God for the advice you gave me. Today I am a proud man with my wife, children and my house because you advice me as a junior brother to you, to be hardworking and be courageous in life. Life is a warfare.
You and other older members of the family have been my inspiration so far. Your departure has therefore created a vacuumed within the family circle. I know as you go to meet the others who went before you, you will not forget to watch over us.
Your legacy. Leaves on May we all leave to find true peace as you did before departing. May the almighty God received your virtuous soul.

A LOVING UNCLE IN HEAVEN
The angels came to visit my uncle on the 23rd MAY 2024 and now he’s at peace with the joyful moments we lived through. As the sun sets upon this life and your body is layed to rest, I know you’ll be up in Heaven because God only takes the best.
I know you’re watching over us and it takes away the pain. You touched the lives of those you loved and we wanted you to stay but you were needed up in Heaven and God whispered “come this way”. I will carry you in my heart until we meet again. Rest in Peace Dady Emma till we meet again.

Daddy was a man of rules and regulations, which he used to raise his children to be like him. He never compromised on our education, yet he also loved to play and create fun with us. When you were alive, you taught me how to farm and shared stories about the struggles you faced before becoming the man you were. Even during my secondary school years, you always advised me not to compare myself to my friends or envy what they had.
You also taught me how to watch football. Whenever we watched matches together, you were a devoted Manchester United supporter. If your team was losing, you would get upset and say, “I don’t want to have high blood pressure; I just want to sleep.” But when they were winning, you were full of joy. During our football sessions, you often remarked, “I can name all the players from every football club, but I can’t read my book.” You reminded me to prioritize my studies over watching football, emphasizing that while those players were making money, I needed to focus on finishing my education.
In my third year at university, I received a call that you were sick and that I should come to the hospital in Douala. While I was by your side, you continued to advise me to study hard and not to worry about you. You asked me to promise to keep pursuing my education and never to back down from anything that would positively impact my life. I remember a day when I asked you for money, and you replied, “You will not always be able to rely on me for that.”
On May 19th, I called you, and during our conversation, you once again urged me to promise to study hard. You reminded me to look after the farmland and crops we planted with Mbache, not knowing it would be our last conversation. Then, on May 23rd, I received a call from my sister, Mandeh Brenda, telling me, “Daddy is no more.”
Even after your passing, you appeared in my dreams two nights before my defense, guiding me as I prepared my project. I performed well in the defense, feeling your spirit beside me. Since the day you left us, I have not forgotten the promises I made to you. Daddy, I will not let you down. I will embody your character and follow in your footsteps, upholding your legacy.
Rest in peace, Daddy, Mr. Anumbosi Emmanuel Akewo. Your legacy lives on in me.
